Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Screen Tight revolutionizes the way porches can be screened, using this new innovative Fast Track Porch Screening System. This all aluminum system is created by using 1" x 2" channels that have a screen lock system extruded into it, they are then attached to your existing porch. I havent used this brand (the one I used was nearly identical), although for the price and install process, I wish that I had. In a broad response to multiple comments... yes, the install is painstaking, but the final product is absolutely worth the time and effort of install.

The Screen Spline they recommend is a .310" of an inch wide (approximately 5/16" wide rubber spline) and is too wide to fit into the 3/16" channel in the aluminum 1x2 . Any other suggestions?

100% agree. Pressed hard enough but only thing I managed to do was slice it into three pieces, damn thing won't fit in. If you feed it in from the end it fits without the screen but that's not possible with an installed piece.

It’s too bad that my local Home Depot only delivers and install appliances. If I mention contract work they act is if I’m speaking a foreign language. I know that they can do it because they contract out Tuff Sheds. The only gotcha with framing this type of system is adding a door.

Can this be installed over concrete? How about if the concrete has an archway. I am trying to screen in the front porch to my house and use this type of system.

Hello, great question! It can be installed over concrete, but it has to a straight piece because our product has no bend to it. It is extruded aluminum, so you would need to install it behind or in front of the archway straight across. Call us at 1-800-768-7325 if you have further questions. Thanks!

I need more info on the 2x2 solid pieces. You are not using them in this video. I want to use all aluminum system.

Terri, they are not actual 2 x 2 posts, the 1 x 2 pieces are mated together to create a 2 x 2, at 1:35 you will see this process. Feel free to call us at 1-800-768-7325 with any further questions.

Yes - I agree. Nice "fast track," meanwhile, you are making multiple drill points in your frame. I thought it would use a spring/ pressure system or something.

Too much work. Having to add all those brackets would take forever. Changing the design to having to only screw the channel makes much more sense.

Hello GS S, the brackets surprisingly don't take that much time, they are what holds the channels down to the frame. We do this because our customer's wanted a fastener-free look on porches, and if you screw through the channel, you will see the screws. If you have any further questions, feel free to call us at 1-800-768-7325. Thanks.
