Building My Garden Room, Good Foundations

Doing it yourself and working on your own, this is the first part build project of how I built my self contained garden room. This first part concentrates on how I built the foundations and supports to laying in joists, insulation and flooring board. Part 2 coming soon...

Thank you mate, I'm better at building things than I'm at making videos and the editing video thingy is a whole different story lol. more to come hopefully soon, cheers.

Bit of weed suppression would have been ideal mate as once they take hold below you have no way of getting to them to eradicate them then they can grow through and start causing issues bud

Thank you for the heads up, much appreciated. It's all just concrete under the main building part, front section under the decking will have some once completed. I'll try show it in that video, still to build the hot tub room in front.

@@mjsimo1 lol saw that part at rear but didn't see you lay any at the front bit. Haven't even finished watching the video 😂 yet quick coffee break and your video came up. Look forward to checking some more out. A specialist in all modes of renovation for 30 years so I'm full of wanted and unwanted constructive criticism for anyone gutsy enough to take on any type of project😂😂. So any tips or questions always welcome. Biggest tip Remember to take your breaks when things get hairy or you will overthink or overlook any answer to a challenge that might arise. 😂 Good luck with the rest of it Mark 👍👍

@@mjsimo1Thanks. Can I ask what was your permitted max build size given the distance from the boundary and materials used. I ask because I have a similar project to do myself.

@@RC-oi1gg If 2 meters away from boundary fence line, maximum height 3 meters from highest ground point and max 30 square meters floor area. My build is 25sqm, always the best advise is to check with your local council.
