Excellent video. A ton of info but concise. Love the artists/pages you referenced. I work mostly in music production but am trying to build more visual worlds for myself and the artists I work with. Having context for where you're at with a brand and a framework for where you can take it is so important. Excited to put these ideas to work and for your next videos!

Exactly the kinda video I was waiting on. How more nuanced do you think it would be to create a luxury fashion brand with gentle monster’s format of using the products as a vehicle to bring their brands artistic vision to reality? Also gentle monster seems to be very accessible, seeing as luxury brands typically have an exclusivity element to them, do you think exclusivity can be detrimental to a gentle monster-esque brand? Two pretty loaded questions. If you’re able to clarify just one that’d be great lol. Love what you do brother

many great luxury fashion brands are doing this - you're just entering the most saturated, capital intensive market possible exclusivity can often be achieved simply by price tag, in gentle monsters case

So so helpful! Thanks for sharing them. You answered some of the questions I have been pondering for the last two days, it’s funny how the algorithm works. In return, in a concrete way, please allow me to give tangible feedback to improve your video quality (this is by no means a criticism). I love the flowers, table and especially the unique lamp, but you’ll looks so much better if you’re closer to the camera, that will create a shallow depth of field (blurred background). If you don’t have time to colour grade the video, iPhone’s built in Photos app’s auto (magic wand icon) function would be a good quick fix, and the Cinematic or Cinematic Cool filter might be suitable feelings for your video. Once again, thanks for sharing all the good stuffs!

Excellent video Oren! I'm starting a clothing brand and have prepared sketches, garment illustrations, and tech packs. Additionally, I’ve created mood boards for photoshoot ideas and how I want my brand to look, and brainstormed my own concepts. I’ve also planned a teaser campaign and content ideas for after the launch. How can I effectively communicate all these elements to a photographer? Considering I'm on a budget, should I shoot content for an entire month in advance or take it week by week? What else should I focus on to ensure a successful drop?

Gotta appreciate good branding & marketing. However, the majority of the time it's solely about that narrative overshadowing what's actually being sold, often lacking moral & ethical perspectives taken into the mix. Sure, it’s super effective, grabs eyeballs and probably produces quite a bit of profit, but at the same time has very poor sustainability & labour practices e.g. (Much like most luxury houses). Making things look cool is easy. Making sure you’re not putting lipstick on a pig is a lot harder.

"Getting paid is easier than ever" really???? then why are 99% of people struggling to make ends meet Oren?? you're in santa monica or beverly hills, of course everyone has money!

In what era of time has there ever been a fraction of as many creative jobs? All companies now have content creators, marketing teams, designers - when a decade ago it was a fraction. Specifically to creators and artists there has been no better era to have a job or freelance work adjacent to what you’re passionate about versus working on a factory line or a call center
