I never skip the built process because your rambling always makes me chuckle. Can't imagine watching a video without seeing the built process.

I'd recommend you use a tiny turret with a tiny turret ring instead of the mantlet, and then an addon structure to make the turret itself. Looks really nice though! Also, remember #tank-repository! by the way, 16:00 if you press x, y, or z on your keyboard while dragging a node, it will lock the movement of the node to that direction.

Would be cool if you could make a interwar/earlywar landship with a broadside of at least 5 cannons

The best depression was probably achieved with this kind of turret with the Sherman. M4A2 (FL10) is what it was called I think. But not more depression that top tier War thunder feels like as a F2P console player 😅😢 Ugghh... That suspension layout... I'm not a car guy so I don't know a lot about those but I'm a freshly graduated Mechatronics Technician and I needed to study the cardan joints, at least that's what it's called here for shaft as coupling. That suspension is a bearing and joint nightmare for mechanics that's for sure. And the German muzzle brake on the barrel... It's a bit more bearable but damn...

Of course, if you wanted to do something really wacky like one of the Swedish tanks or an open-top, you could achieve even more depression. But just due to their inherent layout and height, oscillating turrets are really the most gun depression any turreted gun can get within reason. Especially if you mount them closer to the front of the hull, unlike the AMX-13. Their limits are mostly in elevation though, and doing so doesn't really help with that either, as one of their main drawbacks is the rear of the turret hitting the engine deck or roof of the hull. So, it's not like doing this automatically creates some kind of super ambush tank with a crazy traverse range, either. Though, the shape of the Sherman does inherently mitigate this drawback to some degree.

10:30 if you press extend and then Z, the ring will follow the Z axis while maintaining the faces, this also works for X and Y

Great work, it's certainly difficult to make an oscillating turret tank without it looking like an existing vehicle. Your finished product reminds me of the Austrian SK-105

I am so happy to see another sprocket episode, genuinely speaking great design, I was wondering for sometime how the internet update and oscillating turret would work. It turns out it works and looks amazing. I do hope for a future video you could build a Sherman like vehicle but especially a KV2 build. A big creu and huge gun, would be amazing to see.

The oscillatings turrets are back ! Yay ! Also, I don't know if the cupola still doesn't have hitbox in this version of the game but I've seen players extend the ring like you did at 7:17 so the comander sticking his head in it realisticly have armor.

just say the "AMX-50 heavy tanks" it includes every French prototype heavy/medium tanks using an oscilating turrets

PatchBits, mantlets dont block parts like Jacobs! Also, when the hole tool is all spiky like that, you vsn just select all of it's faces, flip them, and set the thickness P.S I saw you do the custom vent, just press A and duplicate the plate to avoid adding too many addon parts.

This reminds me of France in War Thunder. Therefore, I hate it.

To duplicate the faces: Make sure it’s on the “points” rather than “edges” mode Alt right click to select all points in a plane E to extend Z to extend upwards locked in the Z axis Once you’ve got your cylinder you can alt click all the points at the top again and use the S key to scale them equally to get a perfect circle with a slope. Hope this helps

This actually goes towards the gameplay side. Once geometric internals is done it feeds into the new damage model because the geometric internals plays so heavily into it.

@@osmacar5331 Unless I'm wildly misunderstanding, in the last mini patch which tweaked the tracks, he outright says he set the scenarios/custom battles back a little so he could do the tracks. I'm not making a big deal about that as it sounds like it was a pretty quick job for him, but *I really want my custom battles maaaaan*

Geometric internals is an opt in beta on Steam “0.2 alpha.” So you have to tell Steam you want it before you can get it. Opt in betas are free, in case you’ve never heard of them before. It’s likely optional because it removes the combat system from the base game, so you get to choose whether you want it or not.

This is a tank that's more far removed from a real copy you usually do. It's closest to an AMX-13 with a 105 that i think Swiss or someone did, but the AMX-13 turret is way too hard to make in sprocket lol. The shape's too rounded
