Love seeing John "struggle" like he did when cutting the MDF by himself and the plunge saw falling. Makes me happy knowing I'm not alone

I work as a aging warehouse tech at Buffalo Trace in Frankfort Ky, rolling barrels into the warehouses, filling them, and dumping them, and being a fan for so many years, Its a honor to see your a fan of Buffalo Trace! I am so much a fan, been following made for profit, Im starting my barrel stave furniture making journey!

Love the vids, and LOVE this idea and build. As the son of a carpenter, I really appreciate the home build ideas. I get so wrapped up in standard remodels or small additions, that I sometimes forget the joy of a cool, creative project for our own home. Great stuff, John. At some point…I’ll take on epoxy. 😂

Thank God you still remember how to build things! I was getting worried you couldn't after S and J left.

The screws worked for holding the metal in. For a cleaner easier way to do it, try using a stapler made for picture frames. They are designed to install glass in the frame in a very clean manner

I’m impressed. Great idea with the desk hack.

Try adding a bead of silicone to the metal door panels to prevent the noise/rattle. This came out sweet!

Awesome video. The Weller collection is STRONG! We just got a new boxer and named him Weller.

THAT is absolutely sweet! I would have built a box to surround the metal box supports you bolted to the outside so that the rising bar box looked a little wider...who am I kidding, I would never have thought of bastardizing a standing desk. NICE JOB!!!

Another great real life project. Awesome!

idk if you fixed it yet but for the noisy metal cabinets at 11:06 a cheap and easy fix without redesigning anything would just be to back the screws out, add some rubber o rings or even some rubber furniture bumpers and screw em back in. the bumpers would give more surface area for a tighter fit and would hardly be noticeable if you can find the right size.

I really like the new chapters and transitions, good quality production, keep it coming!

Great way to hide the good stuff. My Blanton’s only comes out for special occasions and people. I would have never thought of that, great build.

4:10 a cleaner look is to use 18ga 1/2in crown staples and slide them into the wood with a flathead. I do this to keep the glass secure on wooden storm windows.

I work at a cabinet shop/ sports locker shop and for sports lockers we use metal grating just like that and there is a clear rubber product that comes in a long line that we cut to size and insert between the metal and a little 1/8 inch line that we rout out. That would be what you’re looking for for those doors. I could get more information if you’re interested

Love the hidden cabinet. Maybe you could remove the screws and make the channel a little wider and then insert black vinyl screen splines. should be nearly invisible and will keep the metal from chattering.

I really enjoy your channel. You have helped revive my passion for woodworking. Your channel is now the most enjoyable as far as the woodworking channels I watch. Your format and personality is easy to watch. It's nice that you have other people in your videos on occasion because it breaks up the monotony of one guy continuously talking into the camera (which a lot of your piers haven't figured out yet). Keep it up brother.

Good bottles and a great buildout

One thing about the noise with the metal inserts in cabinet, get some foam and put it around the metal thats touching the wooden part of the door! Will help tremendously!

for the mesh in the doors you could have routed out some holes for some small rare earth magnets and epoxied them in if you used steel mesh, if you used an aluminum mesh, you could have routed a "half lap" joint on the back, placed the mesh and then made a small "veneer" to screw to the door and hold it that way.

Window Glazing Points can hold the metal instead of the screws, I use them for that application myself.
