Hi, I think it would be interesting to do small engine racing... Maybe limit number of pistons. I think single piston engine would make for interesting race.

@@darealkosmo Sadly there aren't and devs said probably never will be mods like that for automation.

You need to do a Butch designing the car and you designing the engine and driving. To make the same style video, make 2 cars that way and then compare.

I love when you do automation.

Those are both very nice race trucks. Kosmo, your engine is great and would probably be even happier with standard or premium fuel and higher compression. And there is also the option of just slapping a race muffler on the thing to keep the noise down a little.

Hey, look up AngeTheGreat's engine sound simulator. It does make those engines sound good

7.999 is actually equivalent to 8.000 in base-10, so yes, in mathematical terms, this is an 8L engine.

7.999 isn't equivalent to 8.000, it's 0.001 smaller. 7.999... continuous is equivalent to 8.000.

I thought you would have done somethibg silly like a 10 liter V-Twin. This build reminded me of the Top Secret V-12 Supra.

If you didn't know, the jeep/AMC 4L comes from a modfied AMC 256, modified by VAM as a replacement for the V8. AMC liked it so much they ended up putting it into the jeeps.

As a ford tech i can say its still better than a real one :)

Balancer mass is not only weighted against the rotating mass, but also measured by a lot of trig to give force vectors and the like. Automation doesn't provide any mechanism to measure that, so guesswork is the key I guess. If you want to hear a near realistic audio of most engines, go check out AngeTheGreats' Engine Simulator. Check out his YT for info. Race engine running only 9.1:1 compression? I'd bump it up to around 11:1 and run higher octane fuel, myself. This is a clear case of "for each problem, its' own solution". Each machine has its' place and its' purpose. "All I want fer Christmas is ma two front wheels" lol

I know its a late comment, but I suggest going to the 4 graph mode The first is just your power curves second is your ron usage (if tuning for power you can go to I believe about 1% over ron usage before losing power, anything over costs power for fuel efficiency) 2 is the usage of all your main systems, so exhaust, headers, intake etc and helps you push them based off rpm for your desired power (it isn’t the most accurate but close) Finally you get the turbo graph which just shows you your boost against rpm (increasing turbine size pushes the point the rpm line starts to make power as well as reduces compressor surge, compressor expands the open area more and reduces compressor surge, forgot the name but the 3rd one shifts the whole open area further to the right allowing for more power before your turbo says buy and reduces compressor surge as well. Finally boost pressure just increases boost or the max height of the line)

its been a while since i have made an engine in automation. seeing all these new settings makes me want to go make a vehicle and engine in it again!

That Tokyo Drift cut away is exactly how I feel when people go on with specific details of their upgrades, just tell me what is upgraded then let's drive!

I decided to make my own version of this idea before watching your build. Went with a nitrometh tuned 8.4 Liter viper engine pushing 2300 horsepower. Definitely a different design philosophy 😂

Man I really dig these videos. I like the ugliest car idea, but what about sleeper cars? Looks like a family sedan, drives like a bat out of hell.

I wish they allowed narrow angle v6's like the vr6 and w8's, w12's.

Honestly I'd gladly drive the FERD F-420.

Butch had the better suspension setup for the woops that is for sure.

One idea is to build cars to historical regulations,(FIA Appendix J for example) and compete either on a circuit or rally course, or both.

you should make something like a 4L v16 and get as much rpm out of it as you can while using super agressive cams, make crazy high end power just for fun

I think when you add exhaust tips it should snap the pipes to them.

9 to 1 compression is really low for a high hp na engine with port injection 10 to 12to 1 direction injection can do 12 to 14 to 1

I would love to get the .car file for your truck, looks fun. I also want to customize its look and make a pre runner out of it. Just adding another project to my long list of builds I got going.

I'm pretty sure your friend has problems because from my experience with BeamMP it can sometimes happen that you have sync problems and that's why he can't make it up the hill and stuff.

It's a game called Automation, completely separate from BeamNG, but it lets you export the cars you build in that game into BeamNG which is fantastic! :) Have fun!!
