Back in July of 2016 I visited my friend, Ed, in New Jersey. We decided to build a rack for his four kayaks using PVC and whatever tools he had around.

Didn't realize there was a Mercia in New Jersey... Subscribed just because of the Python tribute!
Man, I don't know, that looks like a real pain in the ass drilling, cutting and deburring all those holes, when 4 double Wye's glued on would not only be more solid, but would also give your arms a little upward slant to keep the yaks from slipping off. I mean, it didn't look to me from what I saw in the garage and the back yard that the financial burden of a trip to the hardware store and cost of 4 pvc fittings would break the bank, regardless of what was "sitting around".

There are many solutions for sure! This only took an hour or so, plus the PVC will last much longer than the yaks
works for some cheaper light weight kayaks, but first few days under the hot sun and your going to have some drooping PVC pipe and kayaks on the ground
