Nice work. I agree with you on the Harbor Frieght tools, they're not the best of tools by far but, depending on the job you can get by with most of them. Keep up the good work & I'm looking forward to seeing the end result. Stay safe.

Looking good Jake. I got a kick out if you're drill bit story. Never straightened one out before myself, but I have broken plenty. That tractor will be running before we know it.

Very informative as always. I've only honed one cylinder; it was an old hit and miss engine which needless to say had no shop manual. It seems to have come out alright, but I moved the hone up and down much much more slowly than you were doing here. I once bought a cheapo portable drill from Harbor Freight and it's been working fine for about ten years. Just got lucky on it I guess!

looks like you are doing a great job Jake . stuff like that is alright to buy at harbor freight. dont buy routers from them though i did once just amagin old guy chasing something across the floor. not realy i unpluged it but it was bouncing across the floor. is a shame you have to hone it after it was bored .you do good work Jake that guy will be happy with that tractor. you keep showing these restorations you wont have any time for farm work.

that other remote valve could also have been used for a corn picker on the row crop models. you are making good progress.

I just used one of those needle ball hones to hone a dt466 that I'm working on, it did a really good job. I'm rather new to your channel, from the vids I've seen it looks like you have some nice equipment and a passion for mature iron

Wow it setting around as long as it has it was lucky the rust did not eat into the walls of the boreholes man that would have a workout lol.

I go through a lot of the green can brakleen myself. Hoping to get my parts washer going at some point to slow it up some. Online parts catalogs are a godsend for both looking up parts (since good parts counter folk are getting pretty sparse) and for seeing what you're getting into before tear down. I joke our local MF dealer has the computers on the wrong side of the counter lol. I partake of the harbor freight some myself. I have a snap-on road box but not all the contents are snap-on.

Looking good Jake, your right on the cost of parts, some prices are just astronomical. How long has this tractor sat disassembled? Excuse me for saying but whomever started that project must of been a bunch of hacks. Take care, See you next post.
