Demonstrate how I went about building our solid block fire pit with LED lighting.
The wall blocks used were Willow Creek Ledgestone in Lakeshore Blend. 18 per course. I used prefabricated concrete cap in Bluestone.
The LED cap lights are 4" hardwired from LeonLite - www.amazon.com/dp/B082HL213S
The pavers used in the video were also Willow Creek Cobblestone in Lakeshore Blend

How was the longevity of this? Did the wires get to hot and melt?

So far so good. The bottom is filled with gravel. Also, there is a metal fire pit ring that helps act as a shield. It seems to work fine for our recreational fires. I am pretty sure the fire would have to be quite large and burn for quite a while to heat the blocks and wire to the point of melting.
