BUILDING A WILDLIFE HOMESTEAD PART 5 - RUSTIC BRIDGE- THE HIDE BEGINS- CREATE A CAR PARK
Фильм және анимация
We've been super busy again at the house and the weather has been really favourable. After the last film we have had to create a bridge to connect the paths up to the hide in the meadow. Using Ash from the trees in the woodland which are suffering from die-back we managed to manufacture a small rustic structure. Also on the list was a campervan pitch at the top of the drive and also to get started on the 3 person meadow hide. Lots to do!!!! Join me to see how we got on in this next episode of the homestead series.

Can’t wait to put my new camper on that top section pal 😜 absolutely smashing it buddy really looking forward to popping down 👍🏻
That’s amazing Simon 🙂 It is so interesting to see the “wildlife homestead” developing so well 🙂 Mind you, I think when the word “graft” was invented, they definitely had you in mind! You are working unbelievably hard to create something special for yourselves and for the local wildlife 🙂 I love your dogs in a lot of the film supposedly supervising the labourer 😂 It was great to see you again at BirdFair on Sunday. I guess 3 days on the Tragopan stand at least gave some respite to your muscles and bones!
Simon, no wonder you always look so fit, you sure are not afraid of a little hard graft !!! Love yout videos.

Ay up Si. Nice montage of how it's all coming too. By 'eck you've all put some graft in, no wonder you needed a couple of days gigging!. Love the bridge, not bad for first go eh. Might want to add some chicken wire over the decking boards and kick boards for continuation of the bark chippings right across. Boards will keep chips in place and wire will prevent slip slide in wet! Hope you got emails ok, no rush but confirmation all received ok would be good mucker. Can't wait for hide build. Stay safe and well mate.

@@simoneardley It's funny you know, I used to visit the elan valley many years ago to photograph Redstarts and Pied Flycatchers, I often thought of moving down there myself, but ended up in France for 5 1/2 years and now in Spain for 6 years. But you have picked the perfect location in the UK, Looking forward to your next vid 👍
