I Admire how hard Quin Work, and I love the progress with the S2000.

Love everything about the build but the bumper! I tried giving it a few episodes to grow on me

Sad to see Mickey losing interest in being hands on in building cars. Seems like he's taking the Evan route on the business side of things, really miss when he'd dig into those crazy restorations.. it was always an inspiration to see

Not sure if it’s fair to say that Mickey is losing interest in being more hands on with the builds… as Throtl continues to grow, Mickey(being one of the more senior Throtl staff members) has to take on new roles

Let’s not forget, the “KZread” Throtl that we all see is only a small portion of the company as a whole. You seem to be forgetting that Throtl is also a very larger aftermarket automotive parts retailer… that takes a lot of time and manpower

The s2000 is my 1 of 2 dream honda's. I test drove a 2006 s2000 in 2006. Been wanting one ever since.

Glad throtl went with this spoon kit instead of a safe route went bold and killed it.🔥🔥🔥

I'm loving the S2000 build so far . But I have to point out that at 10:28 I seen you greased the input shaft which is great . But I also see that the slider for the release bearing is in rough shape and should have been replaced but at the bare minimum greased before installing the transmission. It's a simple replacement that is often overlooked with the S2k transmission but can be a pita and lead to a poor pedal feel .

My favorite build! Looking outstanding!!! Can't wait to see the finished masterpiece!

That Oil Pan is vulnerable. Are you guys considering a skid plate to protect that oil line out of your oil pan?

Curious as to why the turbo oil drain is plumbed to the oil drain hole in the pan, that typically causes the oil to just sit in the line and not drain out prohibiting the cycle.

You guys were installing the transmission with the subframe bolted to the car???

Nope, I use that on my supercharged setup also to drain. Since it drains by gravity it works just fine.

Got no engine 😂, those mounts look heavy duty, the Inter cooler tubes look sick

That oil drain for the turbo is going to make the turbo dump/burn oil past the turbine side piston ring seal and into the hot exhaust, causing smoking. Turbocharging 101: you need to have your oil drain ABOVE the oil level in the oil pan since it is gravity drain. Having it plumbed to the bottom like that will cause the oil to back up into the turbo and get past the turbine wheel into the exhaust.

That is the first thing I spoke to Greddy about before purchasing the kit. This arrangement has been tested by Greddy themselves on their test mule and functions properly.

@@NoLuuck The fork on these in particular physically cannot go in after the fact. There are a lot of really odd quirks with s2ks.
