My grandfather owned a upholstery/body/hot rod mechanic shop in Bunkie for ever ago. He passed before I could meet him. I’d love to see what he would say about the hp numbers modern cars are coming out with now a days.

Why i love Baja Trophy Trucks and Baja builds. Theyre wide can eat whoops and dunes like cake and they also sound beefy as hell.

Man only one can dream about having enough cash to build your own truck like that. Every time I go on rpg I’m like nope can’t afford that lol.

Nice build, but I never realized how dainty and fragile looking the rear frame rails on a F-150 looked. I know they are fully boxed, but man they look frail with the bed off!

I'm just curious but is there any concern with the integrity of the frame. Being the normal f150s are made for highway. Would there be a need to beef up the frame

So the only thing that is different with the raptors and regular f150’s is the front buckets. Camburg and Krazy House Customs sell conversion kits. You can buy weld on frame support from RPG or SVC. But it’s cheaper to buy a normal truck over the raptor because the money you save you can buy a more functional and beefier suspension.

Ok so speaking of trucks I got a 1998 Chevy Silverado with the 5.7 vortec and I want to turbo it. Now I went to the junkyard down the road and I found a old school bus it was a turbo diesel thou. I was wondering if I could take the turbo and slap in into my truck when I get there. Just wondering if that is even possible with it being from a diesel motor to put it in a gas powered truck? Really appreciate if you guys had any tips or answers for me.

It sounds like you need to do alot more research, it would be alot easier to just cam your truck and it'll be 100% more reliable and you'll most likely get what your looking for or buy a turbo kit made for your truck you don't just slap a turbo into a vehicle

You can put the turbo in your truck, but you need to buy a whole install kit. I don’t know precisely the process but you have to rip your exhaust apart just to put the turbo in.

Strange you did all this and then didn’t go for the off-road tires. Not to say the ko2’s are bad, I have a set on my tundra (although they do come with a set) I’m wondering if I should switch to a similar looking tire made by nitto or stick with the short lasting ko2’s Also, links to all those different lights???

Literally the most proven off-road tire ever. A ko2 will hook up much better in the desert than a km3.

Gen 1 raptor parts will bolt right onto yours. Costs maybe $2500-$3500 depending on where you get the parts and if you're upgrading. Source: currently swapping mine

Probably better off buying a raptor and doing some minor upgrades? I can only imagine how much this build cost

Actually this out performs the raptor. The mid travel kit comes with 16.5 inches of travel. Stock raptors only come with 13. Plus many people change the shocks out for the 3.0’s. It’s better IMO to build than buy. Only because you can buy billet parts over paying 20k more for a stock raptor that is essentially structurally weaker.

it's a great custom build. but so many things dint look well integrated in the body design. like the lights on the bumper and on top of the hood. I think a pop up for the top of hood lights would fix that. and some lower profile lights on bumper. maybe with some smoked out glass to keep it clean looking. a diffrent bumper for the front. something that looks a bit more oem and less like you're heading to a derby.
