Building a Survival House in the Larch Woods. From start to finish. ASMR
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Somehow during the hike my attention was drawn to a large fallen tree that formed a natural bridge over a deep ravine. It seemed safe enough to cross, so I decided to move to the other slope. On the other side, I found myself in an amazing corner of an atmospheric forest. Among the perennial larch trees, there were many wind-blown trees of different diameters. An ideal place to build a hidden mini log cabin. The next time I came with all the necessary tools. I built the shelter during 23 days, although it took about 6 weeks from the beginning to the end, during which time spring showed itself in all its glory.
Some of the gear and tools used in this video:
Vintage tools: Carpenter's axe, Wooden hand drill, Wooden water level, Chisel.
Hand saw 400mm - Brand: DniproM
Tarp shelter - Brand: Unigear
Sleeping pad - Brand: Unigear
Wood stove - Brand: TF Camping
Kettle 1L - Brand: Fire Maple
Frying pan - Brand: Tatonka

From a professional woodworker for 40 years, I stand in awe of this man's workmanship. Doing joinery on 3/4 - 2 inch boards is one thing, but to bring this level of accuracy to 8-10 inch logs over several feet is a very rare feat.

This is timber framing, not joinery . A sibling profession to joinery, but focused on larger courser stuff . In my local language this is called being a timbernan ("tømrer") and is the word used for the profession of one Jesus of Nazareth . To clarify, the profession is not about log cabins specifically, but about large wood constructions such as floors, walls, roof trusses and tall ships . This profession mostly uses 4x4" rafters and occasional thin planks like 1x6" boards . Later, the carpenters arrive and add window frames, doors etc. It's like the difference between the "iron workers" framing a skyscraper and the blacksmith making door handles and elevator gates .

This build is just epic. I am blown away. This is more than a cabin, or even a house. It's a mini forest castle. The strength and solidity of every part of the structure deserve that designation. I truly wish I had a plot of forest on which I could build something like this. I can tell that a lot of thought, as well as work, went into this. Subbed.
Man this is incredible. The time, effort, attention, patience and skills all meld together to make a very awesome video. Nature certainly showed off like she usually does to add the perfect atmosphere.

I never saw that integrated flooring technique before - genius! I subbed and liked on the basis of the intro. Such solidity, in contrast to the usual spectrum of rickety to semi-permanent. When you lay down I said to myself, "That's one mighty fine bed you've made, though not one bit longer than needs be." Then it becomes a tiny, mighty fortress. Wonderful!
Смотрел с большим удовольствием и восхищением. Сразу видно, что этот человек на все 100ящий мастер. Огромное спасибо !!!

The ASMR and nature sounds are legit putting me to sleep 😴 Might have to start putting this on before bed 😂
The work is unique. Even tho some of the ideas are not new, other parts of this build were somewhat different from the norm, & that isnt a bad thing. I honestly thought there were times some of the work went to the extreme, however, this small cabin is well above the average build. I have no doubts whatsoever that this cabin will stand up to harsh weather for a very long time. It will be warm in the winter & will stand up to a high wing blizzard with ease. In short, I AM IMPRESSED WITH THIS BUILD. Young man, you truly understand your tools and have an above average ability to plan your builds. Congratulations on a job well done! P.S. I love the chimney.

This interesting video seemingly discarded the chaos of modern living in a house deep in the wilderness. The video was richly detailed, showcasing the man's struggles and triumphs with nature, handcrafting his own tools, and constructing his humble abode. It was raw, inspiring, and filled with a sense of tranquil simplicity that's so often absent from our daily lives. It evoked a sense of longing in me for a life less cluttered, more serene, closer to nature. For a fleeting moment, I found myself contemplating if I could muster the courage and the grit to undertake a similar endeavor. I realized the satisfaction of building something with your own hands. In the end, it simply made me want to fire up my old Minecraft account and lose myself in building intricate structures in a world where the only threats were pixelated monsters and where I could always find refuge in the comfort of my hand-built castle.
