I switched to garage shelves August of last year. I love them! I haven’t bothered taping the holes as I’m always rearranging and I’m to lazy to tape them up. Maybe one day lol. I bought some wood from lowes to put over the particle board these garage shelves come with because I don’t trust that stuff. It’s about 0.5 inches thick (maybe less, but it’s thicker than the boards the garage shelves come with). Doing that also raises the shelf to go over the edges of shelf so I don’t have to worry about scratching the bottom of statues.

I love Dragon Ball Z. Even though I know nothing about it. I sang the theme song in a Sydney Karaoke bar in 1999. Also I know Goku spent like 20 episodes just lifting weights. Bad ass.

Good method if you want all black. But I love the natural look of wood. All my shelving is wood with black brackets. We all have different tastes.

This video is really helpful. Im planning on using garage shelves for my collection when i get 2 more statues. And that black tape makes a big difference

Funny I made the decision to buy garage shelves last week these are best for display and they are sturdy

I love these helpful videos. It really shows the full process of being an avid collector. I dont think most folks know just how much can go into this. Although your collection is more on the.................extreme side shal we say? I love it. Time to start charging admission.

Great video, I went with the Husky garage shelving as it comes with a metal grate instead of the wood, that hooks into the shelving, and then went to home depot and had them cut out some wood to fit on top. Its supposed to accommodate more weight so I figured I would play it safe, but it seems like you're not having issues with weight so maybe it was overkill haha

just bought their sub brand, "Montgomery" from my local Bunnopoly. Metal shelves and holes don't show on the outer.

I got those ikea bror shelves. Works for me though. But nice to see other products 😊

Great video! I purchased this exact garage shelf & put it together today. I collect mostly Prime 1 Jurassic Park/World statues. This shelf is going to be perfect for the T-Rex 🦖 Cliff Attack, T-Rex/Carno Fallen Kingdom diorama & Godzilla bust. Godzilla bust has shipped & the Fallen Kingdom statue should soon. Even with these 3 big statues, I’ll still have room for more.

What type of wood material are the plates? Do you need a double stack for maximum weight resistance? My garage shelf is steel, but has an annoying rod thing going directly beneath the center of the garage shelf, which makes it unsturdy if you put a statue directly on the middle. The statue will then wobble if it is not heavy enough. I really want to change the steel plates and want something similar to this.

Have you had any issues with breakage when doubling up on wood?

I’m actually looking at one. Question…. Could I adjust the shelf and put a LBS Hulk 39 inch statue on the bottom and a 42” Hush Superman on the top?

@@flankster117 well… the garage shelf’s are nice. Had my hopes high when you told me I could adjust the height of the shelf to fit in the 39” statue on the bottom. You can only maybe fit in a 33” statue on the bottom.

You have to add additional metal on top. Like my Bruce lee shelf. It's 43 in high

@@flankster117 I noticed some muscle racks come with corner clips, I figured that would give me the flexibility to adjust the bottom to fit a 39” statue. I’m forced to only go as high as you instructed on your video to fit a 33” statue.

Mine has extenders and I just cut the metal to the height I want.
