Thanks for watching! I think that brace will help it last longer. Raised beds are awesome & you can make them out of so many different things! We have some that are mineral tubs & they work great for helping hold water. Hope you can build her some soon!

Colton i seen you cut the boards, when cutting use that small square as a straight edge for your saw to run against and the cuts will be perfect. I'm so happy to see you spend time with your dad always remember this. My dad passed away 28 years ago we didn't have any of that kinds time together. I really enjoy the videos you guys keep up the great work. DAD thanks for being there at your son side. Alright get some card board under those garden beds and get seeds in them and happy gardening.

Colton, what makes the cedar best to work with for the raised gardens? My husband made mine out of pallets but they aren’t lasting very long. Lol Did your Dad nail the boards before you screwed them in to hold them in place? Or was he just making holes in the boards? I’m a bit confused. How high will you raise that bed? Or do you leave it on the ground? I’m always looking for new ideas. Mine has to be raised a lot so I don’t have to bend over. lol and my knees are useless. lol. Thank you for the video.

Well, in my opinion cedar is a good choice for several reasons. These boards are a good price, cedar is somewhat resistant to rot, & cedar generally helps with insect control. He was drilling small holes in the boards. These will stay on the ground, but i understand needing beds up off of the ground. You could put a bottom & legs on something similar to this to make it fit your needs, or just build a really tall bed & fill with more soil. There are all kinds of ideas for raised beds. Sometimes the best ideas are those when you think outside the box. Thanks for watching.
