I will go to sleep tonight and dream of having a shop like this. That's about the closest I will get to that being a reality

Okay, my favorite shot in the video is at 15:04 - that clamped piece, alone, is a work of art! lol! Really, it is a prime example of the time, effort, and expertise involved in such an undertaking. In the end, I really love the work you did with this. All the choices, colors, and textures are just terrific! Thank you for sharing. (on a side note, I did get your message, but I just got back from a lot of business travel and such; look for a response asap!!) Cheers, Brian!

Beautiful looking bed. 2:22 min gave me the shivers though... perhaps just the angle of the camera but god your arm looked so close to the saw pulling your cut out.

Brian awesome craftsmanship always love the work you build. I just had a question when doing a big glue ups for tables per say when I use my Domino I usual use the second or middle setting for the width of the mortise I use to use a couple cut exact width first setting and the good to the second setting for the rest of my Dominoes and that doesn’t work so well lol. Long winded question lol. What setting do you use for just this type of glue ups??? Thank you so much Brian and take care my friend.

Really nice looking bed. Any particular reason why you didn't space the slats with a couple of inches in between?

  • @fictube

That's odd. It's recommended to leave a couple of inches in between so the mattress can "breathe" otherwise you risk developing mold, that's why commercial beds use slats in the first place instead of dropping a sheet of plywood. I doubt mold is covered by any warranty :D

The moisture comes from the people sleeping on it. People sweat during the night, and that goes in to the mattress, without enough air circulation that moisture gets trapped in the mattres and makes for great mold conditions.

Bessey parallel clamps. He’s using the more entry level version too, which are very reasonably priced.

The majority of my clamps are Jet, I have a few bessy, but they have changed their clamps over the years and the new version isn't that great. I don't think bessy has an entry level version. They have just changes them over the years
