Oh it was insane. I had documented the entire process but it was me literally trying 7 different methods thinking something would work, until I finally gave up. You just can't fix something that's BIG broken 😂 me too, thank you!

Hey awesome setup, your videos give me some inspiration for my setup. Question, do you get neck pain from looking up at your monitor? Ergonomic setups suggest to have the top of your monitor in-line with your eyes so you look down to the centre of the screen. Just a suggestion to lower it. Understand you have your other screen below but potentially should move it somewhere else. Otherwise, cool!

Thank you! So like I mentioned in this vid I want to bring my portable off my monitor shelf so that I can bring my big monitor down. Right now I can't find a portable monitor stand that can hold that kind of weight, so until then I just have to sit with really good posture until I can bring everything lower. My last setup was the same layout as this but it was the perfect height, so I'm just waiting til I can tweak that a bit since I'm using different monitor arms/stands this time. The monitor shelf makes it a bit difficult

Thank you!! I feel like anything lower than 75 and I start to struggle lol so it feels really comfy still! Also I think having a macropad really helps cus I can substitute my favourite keys that I'm missing. I think 75 is a sweet spot

Try placing the Govee Rope light in the front under the desk towards the edge like I have it and that would give ur desk a sweet look when it lights up.

I've been thinking about this! Does it look strange even tho the rope is much thinner than the thickness of your desk? I think the govee glides could look cool in this spot too

@@astronuggie if you decide to place the Govee rope in the spot that I had mentioned u have to think about if u really want to punch holes into your desk, because I glued mine to my desk on its side so the lighting can show more instead pointing down to the floor. Just something to think about.

Dope set up but just a quick question. Why do you have you main display so high? The neck crank must be unreal. I think you're supposed to have the top of your monitor at eye level but that might just be for peasant 27 inch monitors

@@astronuggie oh and considering you have rocket lake/11th gen intel, you want to be running 3600MHz or below and also setting gear 1 (1:1 DRAM to memory controller ratio). Although gear 1 may be chosen automatically at 3600MHz or below so do not stress if you cannot find this setting. :)

@@astronuggie thank you so much for that. My vivo monitor arm is holding my ultra wide monitor but it's too heavy for it so it's on a slang and I think it's ruined that part of my desk, digging into the wood. Sadge :( But thanks to you shud work better

the 11700k is fine, i use the 11900k (very similar, still 8cores just at 5.3ghz and wayyy hotter) in my vr rig and won't be upgrading it soon, for you it just sucks as you bought a z590 gigabyte aero board that wasn't cheap... for you it's gonna be a new cpu and mbo, just wait until 7000 ryzen or even 8000

KYY, I have it linked in the description! I use it to watch videos or browse a wiki let's say if I'm playing a game or doing something full screen. It's really good for multitasking and better than a vertical for things like videos since it's the proper orientation of videos

it's super fun! expensive, but fun haha

white bezels are a great idea in but they don't work in reality. White bezels cause your brain to perceive the image differently then they are intended to, it also can cause heavy eye strain, all just because you wanted to have a different color on your bezel. I hope you remove the tape and in a future can say in a video that it isn't a good idea

you DO NOT need a new cpu. the i7-11700 is a good gaming and streaming cpu I would recommend waiting for 13/14th gen because if you get a new cpu you also have to get a new motherbord for the right socket type( its just a suggestion)
