You can make a long ripping jig for your circular saw, saves time planing the board and that straight edge is safe for the table saw. fence. Of course ignore this if you bought a jointer already. Wonderful editing, great woodworking knowledge, 22mins flew by fast.!

@@DFRWorkshop I've been on a tool-restoration / woodworking video binge over the past few days. Can I ask why you went with epoxy? Were you mainly trying to get a clear finish where you could see all the knots in the wood, or were you just trying to fill in the holes so it would have a nice and regular texture when people ran their hands or equipment over it? I've seen in some videos that you can mix sawdust and stuff like epoxy to get a makeshift wood fill to fill in small gaps and seams. The problem that sometimes happens with this is that the different hardness of the resulting materials makes them sand down unevenly. They also might get different results if you put stain or some other "make it look nice" liquid on them at the end. The solution I've seen in at least one video is to mix the sawdust with something like wood glue, which would avoid some of the earlier stated problems that might happen with epoxy. (I don't know a lot about the various liquids used in woodworking, and I don't know where to start learning. A suggestion for where I might find a breakdown would be appreciated.) Putting the printer inside a drawer is also a brilliant idea. They always seem to get so dusty when they're left out in the open.

Going with hardwood is definitely expensive but it has a lot of benefits over pine or veneer. The main being that it's sturdy as can be and its very resilient to damage. I do have some furniture I built put of pine that has lasted several years of minor abuse that has lasted just a long though. Good luck with your build!

Your video is super helpful! I also do videos, but more focusing on diy furniture that is easy to do for a novice. I love learning more about woodworking though. I would love to see how you use your hand planer and learn what tools you have set up to make your life easier like with your hand saw guide.

Thank you! I attached the leg using some pretty large wood screws with washers. You can kinda see them at 10:55. It's been very sturdy!
