"Self-Reliance" is an 1841 essay written by American transcendentalist philosopher and essayist Ralph Waldo Emerson. It contains the most thorough statement of one of Emerson's recurrent themes: the need for each individual to avoid conformity and false consistency, and follow his own instincts and ideas. This channel will approach self reliance from a modern perspective. and will focus on various build projects using modern amenities, and tools to build a completely self reliant lifestyle.

Finally i find a video where cordless tools are used with wood/deck screws not nails, string,or vines and the shrink wrap is pulled tight. Good job 👍👌
The lamp you made is 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️!!!!!
When I see someone build something with their bare hands...I'm so appreciative of them sharing this experience.🙂 Thanks guys!!
Love the build. Let’s hope the wind doesn’t ever get too severe. God bless wilderness people.
Was looking at the video and I thought to myself I already seen this one. But still I looked only to find out I turned deaf. I thought damn let's read the comments to find out what is going on. Found out it was a mute video for those that don't understand English. I was happy because I was not deaf. Also I think it's cool you guys did it. And to all ho don't like it skip it you are not forced to watch. To the bearded brother and the babyface man keep up te good work.
I bought the connectors for a cabin tent and just went to Lowe’s and bought electrical conduit and cut it to my specs. I then bought a few tarps at Walmart to cover it and cut them to size and bought a grommet kit to place my grommets wherever I needed them. Altogether I think I paid about $300 for everything.

Nice. That cabin should last got a long time.
Now I understand why most of these guys videos end up as ASMR and why I'm almost never tired of them.
You know at first I wasn't a fan of these videos. I didn't down-vote or anything rude, just skipped them... But now I'm kind of enjoying this. It's relaxing to have on in some cosmically strange way. Thanks Kevin.

The lopsided authentic light shade, nearly had me rolling out of my chair. Not a candle. No. A light bulb no less. I only saw one bed go in, but two bros came out? Loved the gobblers to finish up with. Could of sworn there were a couple of wrap gaps. But you most likely found and fixed. Do you get much condensation inside. And would it be much cooler than a wooden hut and harder to stay heated? Sorry about all the questions.
I like the ASMR versions too. Oh, you Canadiens.
If everyone in this world had a Don like you do it'd be a better place. Just a suggestion. And I'm not hating. I love the concept. Start a second channel just for the silent videos. It'd keep a lot of the haters from hating on you. Keep up the great work. Love the ideas and videos.

Great video glad you posted keep them coming thanks
What a clever idea...who would have "thunk?" Loving it. Turned out great, Kev...as usual of course.
Good morning from Minnesota USA!!
The last plastic wrap shelter I used, I spray painted the outside plastic to block light.
So cool ...
Love the fact that u guys made it like a real tiny home sooo cool n the furniture especially the lamp came out beautifully great job
Keeping with the building theme, using additional horticultural bubble plastic over the existing plastic wrap on the walls and roof, would dramatically increase the R value of the build. God bless.
I love ASMR videos❤💙
Wow! Great job! I like it. I’ll watch again.
Hi Kevin Chris Don this is a lot of fun ///around the world they can use the language thing to make it into their language!!!
Painters plastic is cheaper and comes in much larger roles, just not as clingy. I don't know how important that is. I love the frame though. Totally awesome.
worth a second watch, you and your talented crew are well worth our time thanks for the lesson loved the lamp.
Nice cabin
I like all you guys videos
I saw an awesome lamp like that in Bedrock. Fred Flintstone was selling it.. Awesome Build!!! So cool!
My only regret is , @ one point , l saw a tree fall in the forest background & l still don't know if it made a sound ! ... 😁 I'm kiddin' , 👍's up like always !
The IKEA cabin in the woods.
Hallo mit Folie auch eine gute Idee. Die Zwischenräume der Folie konnte man nun mit Bauschaum auffüllen
So impressive! Wow!
This build was perfect fir no narration!
This is the first time I've watched, but I know framers when I see them.
You know I’m wondering if this could double as a greenhouse to grow veges that the bugs usually get to? Say tomatoes etc…. Now that it’s not really in use. You could install some plastic wrapped venting panels and build some planter beds from milled timber.
You are getting some strange July weather.

Fantastic ! It's a smart idea . You can upgrade it with second material. Because plastic not have enough protection in heavy snow and rainy days. But it's a good layer for inner protection. Hope to see you soon the upgraded house.

You can still do this rather easily without power tools. Remember they only make the job easier, but they aren't ALWAYS necessary. A hammer, axe and screwdriver would do the job too, albeit a drill would be far easier for screws.
Wow looks cool

Only major goof I see is cling wrap on the roof is the wrong direction, walls were wrapped vertical the way the roof should have been to allow snow and ice to slide off easier and less chance of it getting between layers. to get trapped or leak
