In this episode, we start planting the garden, started from seeds indoor in the spring.
We cleared up the space around the cabin and continue to accumulate firewood.
We install a curtain door for the bathroom.
Finally, we install knotty white pine tongue-and-groove panels on the ceiling.
Welcome to our channel! This Log Cabin Project is a dream that we have had for several years that we finally decided to make a reality. Our goal is to build a tiny log cabin from scratch using as much material from our land as possible. We are building it entirely using hand tools (no chainsaw!). This cabin will function fully off-grid and will be only accessible by foot. Subscribe to follow our journey!
We are learning a lot as we are doing (as always), so don't hesitate if you have any questions, it will be a pleasure to share tips and tricks, if possible.

We built a house way out in the sticks in 1982. Then we had kids. We moved to the suburbs in 2000 for the kids to go to a better school.

I am so impressed with the two of you. Beautiful craftsmanship. You might want to clean up the debris under your cabin if there are snakes in the area. Bravo and enjoy!

Hi you crazy people, to me, Maela would still look happier, sunbathing on Miami beach, instead of wearing a net over her head. Just my opinion. PS. You have done really well with your build, even if you do use a saw like a brick layer. Happy summer guys. ❤

I always found that when I had finished a certain part of a project, that no one could really take note of all the work you had done, nor know of the problems you encountered to make it all look great, or the length of time that you spent. It is even worse when you finished the trim around windows or doors. Most people only see when it is not done, but not when it is all done. Just a kind of a downer! But you just keep on cutting, hammering away! And it is still looking great. It must be a joy to lay in bed and instead of looking at plastic covering the insulation, a nice pine board ceiling! And you can thank each other for getting it all done.
