Building a Loft Bed Frame for Twin Mattress

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Building a Loft Bed Frame for Twin Mattress
A friend of ours needed a new loft bed for her new foster child, and we were happy to help. This is a twin loft bed that has plenty of room underneath to work, play, and just relax. With a few chevron patterns around the top allow this bed to be great for girls and boys.

    A few ideas for upgrades. Put French Cleats on the side of the bed that will be against the wall to prevent the bed shifting positions while the child tosses and turns or plays in the bed. When the child grows older, it will prevent the bed from tipping over as they are climbing in or out. Also, various trays and wooden drawer pulls will serve as places to store toys, mobile devices, power cords, hats, coats, etc. I'm 47 and I still sleep in and continue to improve the loft bed I designed when I was 14.

    @@SpecificLove7 I have a clothes rail and a computer desk under my loft. I plan to put up an LED lighting fixture on the underside of the bed, illuminating the Study/closet, but havent gotten a round to it yet.

  • @SpecificLove7

    @SpecificLove7

    3 жыл бұрын

    I've had some really good ones and some okay ones. It just depends on how they get used and how often. I look at Ryobi as a good starter brand for those trying to get into the making field. I also purchase Ridgid brand tools because of their lifetime guarantee, which I've actually used. The longer I continue to build stuff I realize that some of the higher-end tools are definitely worth the purchase if you plan on using them for a very long time.
