Building a huge portable bike jump that fits in my Honda
Спорт
Since the airbag arrived, this project has been on my to do list. The challenge was to build a portable jump, large enough to use with the airbag lander, and compact enough to transport in the bed of my Honda Ridgeline WITH the airbag, blower, and a bike.
What ended up transpiring was a jump jam at Kevin's house, where things may have gotten a little crazy.

Nice build dude! I built a similar two-section 8' quarter pipe based on plans I found in some BMX/Freestyle magazine back in 1987 or 1988. Thanks for the memories. We used 1/2 bolts rather than the latches, but the latches look like a great idea.

Seth, You can increase the grip of your air bag; by covering the entire landing surface with double sticking tap, and seasoning it with dirt, its a least best option than a slippery airbag.

9:28 his face is everything, pure happiness
1st) Cut a number small holes in the jump's plywood face, maybe half an inch square (think side walk tree grating). This will still be strong enough to support hard riding on the jump but will dramatically reduce it's weight. 2nd) Consider making the plywood a dozen small sections rather than two solid pieces. It's not quite as buttery smooth but it still makes a great take off. This allows you to separate the jump face from the jump frame for transportation purposes. You then latch the jump surface to the jump frame for secure setup. 3rd) Consider adding a small handful of large leg levelers to the bottom. This will allow you to alter the launch angle a bit for more applications.
