I live in Canada and we use a lot of salt to melt the ice in the winter. The salt does a lot of damage to different types of stone or cement driveways …. The surfaces crumble away over time. I was very successful with using boiling water on my weeds between my paving stones. Some of my friends add vinegar and boil it with the water but I found that just using boiling water worked just fine.

Have tried that but our weeds are stubborn. Cat litter is good for ice, but where do I get the ice from 😉

My Canadian recipe for weed killer spray…a little faster…4 cups of white vinegar-1\4 cup salt-1 tablespoon of dish soap. Mix it all in a spray bottle….goodbye weeds.❤️🇨🇦

I use industrial strength vinegar for the pesky weeds that pop up between tight spaces.

white vinegar, salt, and washing up liquid mix together a gallon of white vinegar, a small cup of salt and a tablespoon of washing up liquid. Stir well and transfer to a spray bottle for convenient application.

The tractors fixed now so I can cut it. The repair coincided with us being in the uk so it wasn’t too much of a problem as I couldn’t do it. 😎👍🏻

I hope you are aware that those electric bikes are causing the most fires in London according to the fire brigade. They can ignite out of the blue.

While it's indeed tragic to hear about fires, particularly injuries and lives lost in fires, it's important to avoid exaggerated claims. The report I read mentioned that out of approximately 157,000 fires in London, only 104 were attributed to scooters and e-bikes, with the majority due to incorrect charger usage. Additionally, conversion kits accounted for 40% of these incidents. Even if we round it up to 200, it's not accurate to claim that electric bikes are the primary cause of fires in London, as the fire brigade indicated it's a growing trend, not the leading cause. Cooking appliances actually constitute the majority of fires, but we all use cookers and hobs without alarm. I'm not trying to downplay anything; I just prefer sticking to the facts.

@@The-QuintaThat isn’t the report we got in our paper. London had 6 electric buses go up in flames some months back when parked up in the bus station. China a few weeks ago had the exact same thing. One bus pulling into a bus stop several months ago burst into flames as he came to a stop. Seen episodes both UK and USA of vehicles just bursting into flames, same with the bikes and scooters. Have you seen the acreage of abandoned scooters snd taxis etc in France, China that have been dumped in fields. They can’t get rid of them. Why do you think all the big motor manufacturers are reducing manufacture or stopping completely, these are white elephants. The sales are dismal.

I stand by what I said! As for electric cars, buses etc that’s a different subject. Along with mobile phones that we are all happy to hold onto as if our lives depended on it. 😉
