Building a HIGH Revving 4 Cylinder Mini Engine - 4 Stroke Engine Build

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Hey guys, in this video I'm assembling and testing a 4 cylinder mini engine, a crazy little engine that sounds insane, like an F1 engine.

Toyan has been doing this awhile and gets big $ for this stuff. Blows my mind but they r all build on nitro fuel r/c style theory. Id like to see(& have few times) and actual 1 off custom mini engine built to run on gasoline or diesel. That would be cool. Maybe i duno 5times size of this. Like soze of a briggs 1cyl 5hp engine but a v8/v10

All the components seem to be very well engineered. A joy to watch this engine taking shape. Have you built one of these before? I would find the large number of parts quite a challenge to know where they all go.

@@DIY-Garage Ah! So have I! 60 years ago I had just started, aged 15½, as an apprentice motor mechanic, working mainly on Austin and Morris cars with the A-type or B-type engine, both of which I later got to know inside out. Engines weren't nearly as reliable back then.

@@p19shelt No, engines in older cars needed much more maintenance than today. Perhaps it's due to better lubricants today, but also so much specialist equipment has been introduced over the years that enables more precise engineering tolerances and machining techniques. It's a shame that we reach manufacturing perfection and then the electric car arrives! With a 200 mile range, gosh! I see them parked at the Tesco charging station with the driver sitting in the vehicle for half an hour in order to get home. And this is progress?

I'm amazed how accurate this is to a real engine. I've seen some miniature engines that have to make big design changes due to them being such a small size.
