In this video, we try to build an electric scooter to ride with one charge from the Estonian capital Tallinn to Latvia's capital - Riga, just a "regular" 300 kilometers on an electric scooter. Uku must build a scooter that can do it because at the moment no such scooter is being manufactured. Can he do it?

I made similar project, but opossite way, small electric ebike on 16" wheels, 2x1800Wh batteries (3.6kWh total) but the trick is I charge them at 2kW using two powerful chargers, so it is little above 2 hours from zero to 100%. I drove it from Warsaw, Poland to the Kaunas, Lithuania (400km) in 3 charges at constant speed of 37km/h
You make out it's a "scooter", but it's actually an oversized battery with a scooter attached to it.

12” looks like a good idea, but the weight??? How often do you need to ride 300km in a single shot with an electric scooter? Keep on doing the fun projects!!

300km of ride is an everyday ride for us ;)
A friend of mine wants to make a custom electric scooter with 10 kWh of 18650s in the frame... Needless to say it's gonna be around 6 feet long and weigh over 150 pounds :)

One battery was 60V 36Ah = 2160Wh
How much would it cost to buy the same capacity battery vs. building it yourself?

Well, this big of a battery is ridiculously expensive, but usually building anything yourself is cheaper than buying ready-to-go products!
Could i use a powered wheelchair and convert it?

I always dreamed to have a scooter so l can have a ride to work, but l can't afford to buy one.
This is only 144Ah Battery capacity. As a matter of fact, you can buy 100Ah , 13 inches scooters from Alibaba nowadays , from reputable sellers there. And they don't look like camel..:)
