Building a Custom Tooth Bar

I spend a little time to build a removable tooth bar for my Yanmar font end loader. This is a very big help to dig in hard and rocky soil.

    This is a good video. You did a good job at making it short and to the point, as well as very easy. And, honestly, if a person doesn't have a welder, just get on craigslist and tell someone if they bring a welder out, you'll pay them 75 bucks to do all the welds. Won't take someone who's a good welder more than 15 minutes, probably.

    Good thing you used a bigger welder as the dissimilar metals would need the extra heat to get a proper weld. Well executed. Now I have to order more stuff off of Amazon thanks to you.

Imagine a brutal garden traktor. And also my FEL will be detachable for daily driving. But attachable at job sites klearing brush etc. :D

    so far its going strong, not one single repair, or even a repaint. I have put around 150 more hours on the tractor with it, almost never take it off. I have lost the bolts a few times, but the bar says on most of the time, even without them!

    Would 3/16” bar work? Or would that not be strong enough? What is the thinnest you would have the bar?

  • @LazyBrookFarm

    @LazyBrookFarm

    3 жыл бұрын

    I think that might be a bit of the thing side. Part of the reason I did 3/8ths was the teeth I used required that thickness to sit correctly on the bucket. Much thinner would have damaged the bucket with use.

    About 5 inches, it isnt anything precise, the bolt doesnt take any load, just keeps it from falling off when you dump, i even forgot to out them in once, and the teeth stay on!
