Building a Custom Tooth Bar
I spend a little time to build a removable tooth bar for my Yanmar font end loader. This is a very big help to dig in hard and rocky soil.

Excellent Job! This is one of the best custom tooth bar jobs we have seen using our H&L Tooth 230 System! Great Work!
This is a good video. You did a good job at making it short and to the point, as well as very easy. And, honestly, if a person doesn't have a welder, just get on craigslist and tell someone if they bring a welder out, you'll pay them 75 bucks to do all the welds. Won't take someone who's a good welder more than 15 minutes, probably.
Good Morning. Came across your channel on Michael Feyrer Jr.s live show this morning. Fantastic video & channel. Hope to see you again on Michaels live show. Have a great weekend!
Where did you get the shanks and teeth from
How ❤ that. I can't wait to build one
I am going to Do this to my YM2310D. Thanks for the inspiration!
Great job Mark! I always learn something new watching your videos.

thank you!
Thanks for the video , exactly what I was looking for.
Amazing idea! You invented something very clever. Congrats
Good thing you used a bigger welder as the dissimilar metals would need the extra heat to get a proper weld. Well executed. Now I have to order more stuff off of Amazon thanks to you.
YOUNG MAN , U DID GREAT JOB !
Nice job and helluva savings on cost. Pretty enjoyable project, teeth not available currently.
Thanks for the video. I'm doing the very same thing as soon as the teeth come in. This help confirm how to do it.
Nice build
Nice job and nice video. I bought a 324 last week and already can tell I need a tooth bar! I’m glad you’re making Videos of your Yanmar, there doesn’t seem to be many on KZread...yet.

What a great video, just subscribed. To bad the bucket wasn't a mesh bucket to let all of the dirt fall to the ground as you pick up the rocks.
Hey Mark, great job! Be a nice project for me 💯
You know something? That really looks good man. Great work.

Lazy Brook Farm I aktully building a FEL for my 91' Jeep YJ. Using a winch and a quick removable pully tower. At least for lift. Then some 12v ram/linear aktuators in place of hydrauliks. Imagine a brutal garden traktor. And also my FEL will be detachable for daily driving. But attachable at job sites klearing brush etc. :D

Lazy Brook Farm Yeah dude. Lol. It's a long story. I'm learning to weld as I go. Hahaha. Stikk welding thinner metal sukks with an AC225 Tombstone. I need some smaller rod. All I have now is 1/8 6011. Man if you are on FB send me a message and I'll send you a video in return. Subix Barbarasson There is a blakk Jeep and my 🐺 smiling out the window. Also it will say "Истина" on the bottom. Her name is "Istina" Serbian word meaning "truly/true".
See you on Michael Feyrer live. I got you ✅
DAMMMM I LIKE THIS IDEA VERY MUCH ...PRETTY FCKIN COOL BUD TKS ...WILL RIG ONE UP FOR MY FUTURE MINI CLEAN UP BUCKET NOW
Will those work if I have a 5/8 bolt on cutting edge?
HI HAVE A 1025R THOUGHT OF MAKING MY OWN TOOTH BAR .WHERE DI YOU GET THE TOOTH ASSEMBLY?THANKS
I was thinking about a DIY tooth bar until I noticed a finished 66" bar by Titan for twice your investment. It has a .5 thick bar but I will need to reduce the length to fit my bucket. Great video!
@LazyBrookFarm

that should work out well for you, especially if your welder isnt quite up to 1/2 inch plate!
@frankjones5283

Yep ..plus reducing the bar length will leave me with a nice piece of steel left over but it will have a tooth welded on it ...lol
Great video ! I was curious, how does it work for back dragging ? Does it stay tight to the bucket or does it try to pull away from it ? Thanks, your latest subscriber.

@@LazyBrookFarm That's great to know. Thank you ! Looks like this weekend I'll be paying a visit to Amazon and the iron shop. Thanks again for the how to video !! Have a good 4th
Great job. Does it require a special grade of steel for the bar?
@LazyBrookFarm

No, I used mild steel, it's still holding up great!
great idea! How has this lasted? Have you used it a lot?

so far its going strong, not one single repair, or even a repaint. I have put around 150 more hours on the tractor with it, almost never take it off. I have lost the bolts a few times, but the bar says on most of the time, even without them!

@@LazyBrookFarm Thanks for the reply!
Would 3/16” bar work? Or would that not be strong enough? What is the thinnest you would have the bar?
@LazyBrookFarm
3 жыл бұрын
I think that might be a bit of the thing side. Part of the reason I did 3/8ths was the teeth I used required that thickness to sit correctly on the bucket. Much thinner would have damaged the bucket with use.
You just cost me $120!! :) :) Thanx!

And good morning brother
Thumbs up good content. Please, please drop the music it’s very annoying.
Now you can drive into a stack of road rock and fill a bucket when in 4-wheel and low. Just goes in fills and I rotate an pull it up. Then off to fill holes in the road.
How far back was the center of the hole from the edge of the bucket?
@LazyBrookFarm

About 5 inches, it isnt anything precise, the bolt doesnt take any load, just keeps it from falling off when you dump, i even forgot to out them in once, and the teeth stay on!
Do you recall the overall length of the weld on part?
@LazyBrookFarm
5 жыл бұрын
I think the mount for the tooth was about 6-8 inches total length, i can mesure if you need some more accurate numbers

Sure! You just need to get a chunk of 3/8ths steel and some bucket teeth! If you dont have a welder, i think piranha makes one that might work
