Hi Tom, lovely build. I'm looking at doing similar which is how I found your channel. Any chance you can let me know where you got the timber from? I'm also in the UK. Thanks Ryan

This is absolutely amazing 🤩. You made it look so easy 😂. We are hoping to build a cube-shaped climbing frame, with monkey bars and swings. Do you think 4x4 would be strong enough to hold an adults weight? With a length of 2.4meters? We are complete novices but determined to make it work. Thanks

I am planning a similar build and currently thinking 4x4 will be ample for the uprights. The base I'm not sure about though I'm guessing 2x3 or 2x4 for the base section and first floor etc. What did you go for in the end?

@@vaguelyimportantperson we literally built a cube, so no base/floor. We used 4x4 for everything. All 2.4 meters in length. So 4 upright, supported with a fence post spike, 60cm into the ground, and 4 more at the top creating the square. We used another one at the top through the centre so we could attach the monkey bars. We also used another 4x4 on the side so the kids could stand on it to reach the monkey bars. We added a swing, trapeze and a rope ladder. There was a bit of movement when the swing was in use so we put braces in each corner and this sorted it out. My 3 kids can all use it at the same time and my partner uses it for pull ups so it's very strong. Hope that all makes sense. Good luck with your build. It's really hard work but completely worth it as the kids love it.

Just been out to measure, the climb wall is 22mm as it’s not exactly carry the full weight of a person, and there is no flex in that. And the steps are 42mm and after a year still going as strong as day one
