I have a feeling that all the talking you do while filming you would be doing anyway with nobody around to hear it. Love the video's and the truck. keep the outloud thinking content coming please

You can go over the acrylic glas with sand Papier and make it sort of milky....worked for me fine

About a bazillion dollars worth of aluminum in that awesome door.

:) The original title to the video was going to be “stupidly expensive bathroom door!”

Great work on the door, too! You could add that cloudy window film for bathroom windows, if the transparency is a concern...

80/20 appeals to my inner child. But when I price a project (and the brackets and hardware cost more than the extrusions) I start considering "how can I do this with epoxy paper -mâché..?"

Looks great. Can you post what your latch for the crawl through is? You’d could put a window film on it or spray on obscuring (don’t remember the name) translucent stuff. Or do a light sand glass to one side to etch it. I think your privacy will be dependent on which side of the door has more light. Keep up the great work.

The latch is a standard slam latch. 8020.net/12145.html I’m not overly happy with it. Since I need to leave it un-latched if I want to crawl through from the cab side. It’s on the re-design list.

Could take the bathroom panels and scribe patterns all over it with a CNC so it'd obscure anything on the other side (unless someone is determined... but, gross). Even go crazy and embed LEDs within the extruded aluminum so they'd hit the patterns CNC'd into the glass panel and really obscure things... will looking dope AF.

Yeah, those extrusions are insane expensive last time I was playing with them at a test equipment company. We were using those to make load cells in a much larger computer system. They're tough as hell but cha Ching. Have they started vibrating apart at all on road trips? I'm guessing alum

using the engine turning method from old hotrodding would add style and you wouldn't see thru the plexi, or just use good vinyl graphics sheet to make it darker. good stuff as usual.
