Such a cool and good looking car... thinking back to when I seen this on TV years ago, this probably had a part in inspiring me to buy my ‘66 beetle.
This is why i love classic volkswagens❤️
Beautiful job!
I love these old classic cars like this beetle

There's nothing about this car you wouldn't be able to do yourself, save possibly the motor but you could get much closer with parts you can literally bolt on after dropping the engine onto a milk crate in your garage.

he said $5500 in the video. sounds like a custom engine to me; but you could skip that and swap in a subaru engine worth about $1000-$2000, put out about 150-200hp

I LOVE THEIR WORK
17's look good. Can't wait to put my 66 back together.
Man, I'd love to get a Beetle again. My first car was a '61 with a full canvas sunroof, followed by a '67. Nice job on your '65!

Nice! My friend Zoe has a 59 Shes had since highschool (1984) it's a European model with semaphores, and a rag top. I've never seen another one. I had a white 64 in highschool that I ran into the back of a Chevy Impala Scottsdale PD cruiser while pulling into the school parking lot. Not my proudest moment! LOL I got some new front sheet metal and had it painted Chrysler plumb crazy purple and put centerlines on it. Dove it for a few years after highschool, and sold it. Fun cars!

My first car was a '60 beetle. Paid $100 for it in 1970. Had a ton of fun with it, but it had a bad habit of vapor locking in the summertime. The fun ended when an airforce guy slammed into me. Insurance gave me $50 for it.
I still miss my first car, a '65 type 1, 36 years after it was stolen. Less than 10 hours after I spent the entire day installing $1,500 worth of new parts (at 1984 prices), the car was gone. Worst gut punch of my life at that point.
Well done !!!!!
Very cool bug. I had a nice 68 and sure liked it.
Beautifulllll!!!
I love this guys what they doing to the cars
So glad it wasn't customised to much, it's a Beast!!!!

Sick car!
The initial ride height was looked much better. IMO
Think we all want to fix up a bug and it’s so cheap to do. Sometimes we just don’t want to admit. Great looking car and I bet it’s a blast to drive
Gorgeous bug and honestly for 6k with all the extras, its a steal! Easily worth 15k nkw
@blinger44

they probably spent over 15k on it once you factor in the car, motor, suspension, wheels, etc.
Beautiful bug👍👍👍👍 !!
Nice wheels!
Totally awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Just saw this car is person driving in valley ranch!!! Very nice car
How amazing
Este es mi programa favorito sigan asi
Awesome!
I know where a couple old buses are. Cruddy paint problem some rust and no interior but they look so cool I would love to build one
Sweet!
Precioso vehiculo original o con modificaciones es elegante clásico.los amo.
My first car was a 61 or 62 ragtop. Had a lot of dents, and the engine was in the back seat. did all the work myself at age 14.4 to drive on my 16th birthday. It was painted gold, and I wore the JC Whitttney catalog out, as I earned money to buy stuff. Looked like a show car,and had many offers but would not sell it. Finally traded it for a MG then had to sell it for more reliable transportation of a 68 camaro. Now I own 18 VW's, and stopped buying them so I can get all of them restored or resto-mods. m Squarebacks, Karmann Ghias, and bugs. Have not found a solid enough bus yet. Have to love these cars. Nothing like them.
love it
NICE!!!
That is one sweet bug! Love them Smoothies. I wonder what sort of exhaust that is?
Really nice vw
I wish I could buy it! I love it to death!
AWESOME
Nice car.
So much better than sitting thru automobile adds on TV, damn I'm tired of close ups of head lights and peek a boo sun glare. Yes to you tube
I like the 1960 big window apache behind them
Parabéns pelo vídeo uma baita produção hehehe E claro um belo clássico :D
Bugs that old had the most accurate gas gage ever. If ever in doubt that you had gas, just wiggle in your seat and if you see the needle move, you were good to go.

Killer beetle!!!
ace guys
Beautiful bug build
It’s perfect
Wow awesome did you sell it yet
love the vw
Isn't that Kenny Rodgers dirt track car from the movie "Six Pack" at the 3:34 mark?!?
awesome bug
If they spent an hour explaining the details, this would actually be a worthwhile program! Jeesh!!
Check out the early dual-carb type 3's. They're much better than the type1 bug motor, and the dual carbs are great.
get you some of that. WOOOOH
Great condition
My dream car😍😍😍😍😍
This blows my bug out of the water!
Where's the full episode,? Thanks to all.
my dream car :)
What are the odds I just bought the same car same year same color and I was just in Midalothian Texas last week 🤣👍. And bought it for 8k too 👍👍
Aaron was the brains 🧠 and Brimberry was a real sweet heart.
Bad ass build! Where did you get those wheels? Help!
Hey guys I am currently building a 66' beetle. I love the color you have there would know what the color code is? thank you for the cool video!!
Love the car what tyres are they
man, this 65 bug was a buy!!!!cong!
Not a fan of the low rider treatment or oversized wheels but otherwise very nice. Amazing what the old boxers are capable of.

I wish they had restored it...I had a '64 just like it, with a crank sunroof...
i like everything about it except for it being too low
8 grand!!!! Holy shit! I owned 66. Drove from Whistler to Sacramento in 88 before it blew up. Hitch hiked the rest of the way. It was a long trip
Looks great, I love my beetle.
Uma Brasília em 01:04! Nunca imaginei ver uma na Europa fora de algum museu.
SOU FÃ DE VCS
8000 is very little for this sexy looking and sexy driving masterpiece i got a 74' and i love it i still drive it till today
I wish it was that easy!!!!!
Mano do céu 😍👏👏👏
What would have been cool is tracking down one the old trailer these things could haul. It didn't hitch on the bumper but on the roof.
cheers for the brazillian only Brasília on the background
Best beetle ever made
5,500 for the motor? Thays how much a paid for an entire beetle.

There is also no way the motor was built for $5500. Turn key motors like that are typical;y in the 10k range
@eskamobob8662

@PeePee2000 Yah, but then you have to fuck with the can bus no matter if you want a stand alone or to splice the harness. Not to mention there is not any good place for a rad in the car as the front is fairly sealed up. Dont get me wrong, it can be done, but if you are under 300hp it just isnt cost effective
@borismartin6276

@@eskamobob8662 Yeah for sure haha. Pretty sure this one was carbed and not EFI (bit cheaper), but even then a 200+HP 2.3L is comfortably in the $7-10K range
