Isn't it amazing what we girls can accomplish on our own? Can't tell you how many times I've done just what you did with the countertop to safely get the job done. Where there is a will there is a way. You amaze me every week. That looks fantastic. Personally, I always painted my kids' Bathroom Yellow. Happy, cheery, and helps them wake up in the morning:) Thanks for all your inspiration as always. Cathleen
For paint colors, I always start with a fabric (in this case a shower curtain) or art and take a paint color from that. The vanity is turning out great. I have a tip-out tray under the kitchen sink. They are great to have.
I just painted my kitchen with Olive Grove from Magnolia. I am obsessed with it! Goes great with the gold hardware! I'm so impressed seeing you do this on your own, I always need help with the building part! Luckily my husband is amazing with that.
Omg you’re giving me confidence to attempt to redo my 1970s vanity, and maybe even convince my husband to help without feeling super overwhelmed. Thank you, great job! 🎉
Emerald green would be a nice contrast with the gold faucets and light floor. However, you and your children should pick a color you love. I am excited to see the end result no matter what color you choose. You continue to amaze me with your renovation knowledge and skills!!!

Thanks so much!
I’ve been drawn to blue shades lately. A Smokey blue (SW) or gale force (SW) would be beautiful with the gold. Love the idea of more storage space. Might need to make some improvements to my master vanity.
Love how it is looking Kelsey so inspirational. I personally would shop for a shower curtain or piece of art that you love and take the color que off of that inspirational piece. It could even be a piece of pottery or something. I am loving the greens and denim blues that are in todays decor and bedding. You have awesome taste and can not wait to see what you decide on. Your videos are my Saturday morning go to with my coffee. Just like cartoons where when I was a kid. Thank you for posting.

Thanks so much! I think I found a rug I love so I’m using that as inspiration!
I think navy blue or a deep green would look good on the vanity with a crisp white wall color. I LOVE that sink! And the countertop turned out great! It’s really coming together. Girl, when you pulled that mirror off like that it took my breath away. I’m a nurse and have seen some wicked looking severed parts from glass. Glad it held together!
A Sage green would be really pretty.
I'm liking the color Pashmina.

I’ve been wanting to do that color in my kitchen!
Looks great! I think an olive green would be pretty.
Because it is your children's bathroom, but also a guest bathroom, I think you could stay in the paint tones of the doors. Just do a deeper or lighter color and then do your magic. It wouldn't look too childlike or too perfect.

Agreed. Color can always be added with the shower curtain, a piece of wall decor, hand towels, something on the countertop, etc. If the color(s) in the bathroom strays too far from what has been done in the hallway, the contrast could be too jarring. A deeper tone than the door would be my choice for the vanity, and then accent that color with accessories.
Hi Kelsey I'm new to your channel and I've binge watched all your old videos, I am absolutely in awe with what u have achieved by yourself. Who taught you or where did you learn to do all this. I've seen a lot of woman who do all their own work in their homes but u are exceptional. Well done and keep up the good work.

Thank you so much 😀
Kelsey, this is just awesome work! I love the way you can incrementally change each space you take on. Many would start completely over, rip everything out, and put in new cabinets, etc. I love how practical you are with reusing whatever you can, which definitely keeps things in budget and more manageable. In some ways, I think it takes more skill to incrementally change than to rip out everything and re-do like new construction - and still make it look amazing. I can't wait to see how this bathroom is going to look. BTW, I tend to agree with the recommendations from other viewers on staying in the green/olive palette of colors. But honestly, I'm not sure you can go too wrong with almost anything given the color of the countertop and flooring. Good luck with the color choice, and can't wait to see your next video!

Longer videos, please!! LOL I love your format! And I agree with the folks saying sage green! My favorite since looong before it was trendy. :)
Light and bright for a small room.

Ooh love the drama of that!
Love your channel and your sweet personality ❤. I'd probably ask my kids what color they like. But if they don't care, I'd think of 'how do I want the room to feel?' Moody? Fun? Sophisticated? Not a fan of anything green, unless it's a plant, soI'd choose a color that you love. I painted my bathroom pale oak. It was a bluish green. Found out that I really don't like saturated/muted colors, but true pure colors. I want to change the color AGAIN! 🤯 So, if there are colors that you just love and makes you feel good...use those. Pale oak is a bit greige and depressing.
Thinking a sagey green? Pretty with gold. Also, get a shelf toilet paper holder, or a double TP holder, they come in gold, for the end of the cabinet by the toilet. Use shower curtain for color inspo😊
I'm classic (my cabinet are white) and I'm all for neutral so you won't have to re paint everything in a few month because it's not "the" color of the month. My bold choice would-be sage.. See if I'm daring
Love your channel. And gotta love those grackles in the background!
I would suggest for paint color Calligraphy from Behr. It’s a blue gray and looks beautiful on cabinets. By the way love your channel. Always looking forward to your new videos!
sage green is lovely
I would have installed a fuller drawer and installed 2 sinks. There was plenty of room for 2. Multiple kids always need multipkes of everything. The cabinet looks great and we can't wait to see it painted and finished with hardware and decor. I personally am already tired if gold hardware, handles, etc. The finish never lasts. Next time I'm doing black for all of it. Job well done Kelsey! I could not cut wood like you do. MY husband is the handyman here, I love to decorate, paint, declutter, etc.
Can’t wait to see the end result!

Hallo Kelsey, its look really good so far and I know the end result will be amazing. I think because it’s your kids bathroom I think a nice colour would be that light sage green that you used the guest bedroom.

Love this one!
Kelsey, I just want to give you a big hug, for the great work you do, and keeping costs down (which we all do). You are a champion. As far as color, you seem to like neutrals. Edgecomb Gray, a nice greige, or Antique White for an ephemeral touch of peach in the white, both by Ben Moore.
You're very brave unhooking the water lines and drain with all the fresh clean "white" towels. I just know, I would have gotten water and nasty stuff all over them! I really like the facets. I plan on redoing my bathroom this fall and want the brass fixtures, they're so pretty. Great idea for the tilt out drawers. Paint - I like creams and light sage green colors.
Looking good so far!
Love it!!!
The bathroom is looking wonderful. I wish I was younger, I have so many projects that my body can no longer do. I plan to do my hall bathroom in beachy colors, blues, teal, whites. My vanity will be teal. Very fresh, clean and a nice neutral. SW has several options. I plan to paint my front door a bright teal. The brick is a light beige so it will pop. Please be careful moving mirrors. I knew someone that barely touched a wall with a mirror it shattered. One sizeable piece hit just below her knee - it peeled away all skin and part of her calf muscle prior to impacting her foot. She WAS a professional dancer. She now walks with a cane. They rebuilt her foot. She was 25 when the accident occurred. She was simply moving a wall mirror. The surgeon said she was fortunate she didn't bleed-out, she was alone and once she came to she had to crawl to her phone. I am stubborn and prefer to never ask for help but there are times it is the wise decision. At 72 I no longer have a choice. Sadly I often have to hire someone to do things I know how to do but I am no longer physically capable of doing. It's annoying but it's my reality.

So do you hire out because you're better than any contractor I ever had work at my house? The countertop and sink look great. Looking forward to seeing the vanity painted... I like the lighter greens they've started using on kitchen cabinets.

Kelsey - that looks amazing! What a pretty counter you made! As for colors - my daughter has been painting her house with Pewter Green by Sherwin Williams and it looks fantastic.
