Great I finally got the real buggy motor. Can I use L motor with hockey spring and Power functions instead of Buwizz?

Great! But to be honest: pf cannot (fully) power a buggy motor. The current in the batterybox and the receivers are limited and will turn off the batterybox temporarily as a safety feature. Which you can avoid in the batterybox by shunting it, which is not real safe. But i dont know if there is a solution for the receivers, maybe use 2 for a single motor?

@@marxpeklegotechnicdesign3 I am planning to use Lego 9V battery box, 2 IR receivers 1 for buggy motor, 1 for steering. Unfortunately I don't have the extension cable for now. I don't know if buggy motors can shut down Lego PF battery boxes. I use some alligator clips for testing and it worked fine for me. The problem with the buggy motors are they take a bit longer to regenerate after heavy load.

@@MegaMike1 the buggy motor WILL shut the pf and 9v boxes off. They are all protected in some way, restricting the current to about 800mA. While the buggy motor can ask up to 3000-4000mA the buggy motor ia also protected, but that rarely trips because you need more power than pf/9v can deliver. There is one exception: the rc unit from the 8475 an 8366, that ia designedto power 2 buggy motors. Nothing else lego made can fully power the motor, not even the provided battery boxes from the motor expansion set or yellow batterybox in the 8421 can deliver the power needed. One of the reasons this motor was discontinued so fast..

@@marxpeklegotechnicdesign3 oh makes sense. Since I recently got the 8421 set i wanted to try it out. 8475, 8366 they are quite expensive costing well over 500 canadian with shipping. Do you own any racers set with rc buggy motor? I heard then they drain the batteries in 30 minutes. Lots of people use buwizz combined with rc motor for performance.

@@MegaMike1 yes i own 3 complete sets and a few extra rc units.. and yes they drain te batteries fast. The motors ask alot of current so they drain fast. But in all honesty the buwizz will drain in about the same time, but does provide more speed and is way smaller.
