Here's the links mentioned in the video:
Julio's (How to make a Barstarzz park:) • How to make a Barstarz...
And for laying turf:
• Artificial Turf Instal...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The project took me about a week from start to finish from digging the holes to laying the turf.
Here are some of the things you'll need:
Three, 4x4x10 ft Redwood post
One, 4x4x8 ft Redwood post
One 1in x 8 ft Galvanized Pipe
(For pull up bar and top human flag bar)
One 1in x 5 ft Galvanized Pipe
(For shorter pull up bar)
Three 1in x 2 ft Galvanized Pipe
(For human flag bars)
Two, 1 1/4 inch 10 ft Galvanized Pipe
( For dip bars, Home Depot will cut it upon request for free)
Two, 1 1/4 90 degree elbow joint
(for dip bars)
----
Two 1 1/4 flange
(Connects to the 4x4 by10
and into the dip bars)
Eight 3/8 16 x 6 Hex Bolts (dip bars)
Eight 3/8 16 x 1 1/2 Washer
Eight 3/8 Hex Nuts
Nine 3/8 16 x 4 To hold poles from possible movement (Optional)
Nine 3/8 16 x 1 1/2 Washer (Optional)
Nine 3/8 Hex Nuts (Optional)
(To drill through both wood and metal
you'll need a titanium nitrate drill bit)
10 bags of Concrete.
1 container of water resilient wood stain. (Optional)
----
First I connected the 8ft top bar into all three 4x4 by 10 wood posts. Then I drilled holes and connected the 3 human flag bars.
I dug Three 2ft holes for the posts and raised it up (I put rocks in the holes to hold the posts together) then poured about 1 1/2 bags into each hole.
Later that night I dug the two holes for the dip bars.
connected the threaded galvanized pipe into the elbows and connected the other threaded ends to the flanges on the 4x4 by 10 wood posts.
I put rocks to hold the dip bars in place and poured 1 1/2 bags of concrete in each hole on top of the rocks.
The same night I also made the 2 ft hole for the 4x4 by 8 ft post
about 5 ft away form the 4x4 by 10 ft post. I connected the flange then installed the last 5 ft smaller pull up bar and I was done for the day.
The next day I cleared the ground of any loose gravel and laid down some crushed gravel. I lightly watered it down and compressed the gravel with a roller. I covered the crushed/compressed gravel with weed barrier. I laid out my grass turf in the sun for a couple hours before pulling it over the area I wished to cover and began to cut the shape I wanted along the plastic grass liner. I nailed it down on some ares with 6 inch nails to help secure the turf. I put some sand into the fibers of the turf and brushed it through to help it stand up. Then I was done!

Thank you!

to prevent the blow out of holes, put another piece of wood behind the wood poles when drilling with the spade bit. It will reduce the chance of it happening. Nice build.

@@rene_bla_bla Agreed. This technique works perfectly. Once you see the tip of the drill coming through, stop. Flip the wood over, insert the tip of the bit into the tiny hole, and drill out the rest of the wood. Zero tear-out.

  • @Bay_Area_Calisthenics_Kid

I know I was worried about it too, but there are titanium drill bits that can do the job of going through steal pipes. It really depends how loose the pipes feel as well, mine were a little loose so I drilled through both the wood and pipes. So it's just an extra measure to insure that they are solid. I've been working on my flag too!!! Good luck my dude!

At 3:30 you are migrating to handstand pushups. But instead of a fixed point for your foot/feet, try a sling type support that will move with you as you do the pushups. Using this with something like a Perfect Pushup is good because you can rotate as you move up and down. Or with rings. As you get more vertical you need to get a lot closer to your feet support so if you're using rings you'll have to account for this. The easiest way I've found is to use a squat rack and a gymnastic ring strap with a pad on it for the feet or ankles which can be moved forward and backward. When your feet are not locked into one position it makes all the difference in the world.

4x4 is perfect in my opinion as long as they are firm in the ground with cement. Also once you put the pull up bar through it's SOLID! The highest pull up bar is about 8 feet off the ground (since 2ft of the pole is under the ground.) and the other smaller pole is about 4.5 feet off the ground. (easier for doing jumping muscle ups and negative muscle ups.) Thanks for your comment.

To avoid the wood splitting like that don't cut all the way through from one side, cut halfway from each side to get a clean edge.

I used "HANDLE FIXING M4 BOLTS, LONG SCREWS" for Cupboard Door Drawers, but coach screws could work too. The holes from the drill were already large enough for the bolts to go through, then i used a hammer to get it through the wood. Once in I attached the nut at the back of the wood. (These screws have a rounded/smoother head) I liked that look a lot better. ;)

About $400 but that was 2 years ago, and keep in mind during corona virus EVERYONE is doing DIY projects and getting materials from local depot's. So now the cost may go up.. however that being said it's worth saving up the time and money to do it, I use it everyday!

B.A.C.K niceeee bro. How long did it take you to get your first muscle up? I’ve been a little annoyed seeing some videos of kids getting it in like three days. Meanwhile I’ve been training it for almost four months and still haven’t gotten my first unassisted. I can do them with the tiniest band I have, but the transition without a band still feels impossible for me!

Tyler K. One of my more recent videos is on my current progress for the muscle up, don’t compare yourself to anybody because finding joy in the journey is what this is all about, I made this channel to hold myself accountable and track my progress. it’s been over two years and I’m still learning how to clean up my muscle up I can barely do one unassisted but it needs a lot of cleaning up. So just find workouts that you like to do and ask for help it seems to be working for me so far. NEVER GIVE UP 😎✌️

B.A.C.K Just watched it! Nice man. I try not to compare myself, but it’s nice to at least hear that you didn’t get it overnight! The journey has been fun though. I progressed down my bands so quickly at first and now I just have felt a little stuck on the last one. I’ve been focusing on training lots of explosive pull ups and straight bar dips.

I’ve been wondering if the parallel bars were to be slightly angled together, would it limit the exercises that are usually done, with the body perpendicular to be bars? My kids and I are different sizes, and could just move down the bars, to get the right width. Anyone ever hear of a design like that?

  • @tylerk.7947

    @tylerk.7947

    4 жыл бұрын

Leeb Dj As long as you’re not a crazy gymnast doing flips and other fast dynamic movements I think that would be just fine. Also you wouldn’t want the angle to be so extreme that it would put your wrists at a bad angle...mostly o use parrallel bars for doing dips, handstands, planche and occasionally rows and levers underneath. Having them come closer at one end would t interfere with that. I’d say go for it
