Nice build! The way to measure how much stem to cut is to measure from the inside of the crown to the case on a push pull crown. For a screw down crown I measure from the inside of the crown to the top of the threaded case tube. The watch, by the way is perfectly water resistant with a screw on case back and with two O rings on the crown post. This is perfectly adequate at least for swimming, screw down crowns do not make a watch necessarily more water resistant.

Most of it I get from Aliexpress. Just type NH35 dial/hands/case and you will see loooots of options. Choose the store with the most positive reviews and followers
