  • @DriftJesus

    Main reasons I choose a 4 door ; easier for rear mount , and easier to replace doors than quarter panels. Also its a lot easier to find a solid sedan shell. Plus they are a little lighter than coupe.

    Einzel I'm loving your e46 content. You are budget where needed (tablet dash) and spend where it counts on good parts. What ecu are you using that works with the tablet?

  • @DriftJesus

    @DriftJesus

    3 жыл бұрын

    I use an ECU Master. the tablet is just a backup for the real gauges, this way I can see what the ECU sees. All my cars always have needle gauges

    Einzel, what is your recommendation for the driveshaft? I'm currently using bmw e90 325d gearbox behind my 1JZ in the JZX100 Chaser I have. in the front, im using the front part of a e60 530d driveshaft, with the OEM guibo thing (the round thing on bmw driveshafts). In the back im using the rear end of my Toyota auto driveshaft, which is connected as stock with bolts to the differential - which means i dont have any telescopic part anywhere in the driveshaft.

  • @DriftJesus

    @DriftJesus

    3 жыл бұрын

    With giubo and two piece you don't need telescoping. Hard mounted engine and subframe + giubo , you could get away with single piece. We always go for single piece telescoping with solid flanges on BMW style boxes, but ofcourse preferred is GForce gearbox with slip yoke for single piece shaft. Anything single piece must either be slip yoke or telescopic

    @@cicodrifts309 internet is full of misinformation. And what people call "fit" often isn't fitting. The alloy motors are different from the iron motors and there is no set of mounts that works. Apart from that, in a turbo application you'll need a custom passenger side mount anyways, bottom mount is what you want on these motors.
