These films watching this lady and ladies create are some of the most inspirational images I've seen in my life. It speaks to me about how humans can live and create in enriched harmony within nature. I love the silence apart from the sound of nature and wildlife. Shows the meditational hypnotic aspect of labour and precious craft. This is just exquisite.

Her parents have taught her everything she needs to survive,cannot believe how beautiful her creations are.

What a talented and hard working young lady. That carving is phenomenal!

I wonder where she finds the strength and patience doing all those incredible things. She is an amazing architect.

I absolutely in love with house and pool. The wall sculpture is beautiful. This young lady is talented and I love her work.

Maybe they don't like being fooled? Only a person who never built anything can believe she did all this by herself and in a way it is presented. If you just take the easiest part of all that - filling the pool by hand, that alone is just ridiculous. To fill that pool, which is at least 25 000 litres in volume using a 10 litre jug with just 2 minutes per round (60 seconds to fetch the water and 60 seconds for the way back) would take 10 days working 8+ hours a day. And it is really a question if the water is so near. And another question - what happens when the water goes foul in time? Will she remove all that water by hand or refill or will it become a mosquito pool?

Wow, I have to say, the amount of effort that goes into these is impressive. Even with all the help she gets off camera (which we know she does!) it's still many days of labor to build something like this. Plus her skill at mud carving and painting is actually really good.

I agree that her work is phenomenal, and this lady puts in the work to make these wonderful creations. I had wondered if she had help in the construction, am glad to hear she does. It must take a couple of months or more to complete, as you have to factor in the drying of the structures, the painting and the filling up of the pools and bathtubs she makes. I figured there was at least a camera person, just didn't know if she had help with construction. My parents always told me you can do anything if you just put your mind to and put your all into the work to get the things you desire. This wonderful lady proves this and then some!

Great Job but I have a couple of questions...what happens to the structures once the video is done? Are there just a bunch of random Struktures scattered throughout the jungle?Cause those pools are a death trap for local wildlife... I'm asking in a few places in the hopes of increasing my chances of getting an answer, but does anyone know anything about the termite mound/wood ash plaster that they use in these videos for waterproofing?? As shown in these videos, it appears to be an excellent form of plaster/stucco, with characteristics most contractors could only dream of! (try mixing a Portland cement mix with your feet, and applying it with your hands and see how long you can go before you have no skin left!) However, I can't really find anything about it. Just a few papers looking at termite mounds soil/ant hill soil as an adjunct to cement mixes or for ceramics use, and most of these papers are quite recent and mostly focus on mount soil from Nigeria or other more arid environments. My Filipino girlfriend says that this is fairly common practice in the Philippines, but she was far to young when she moved to Canada to remember any details. It seems it's similar to the basic recipe for wood ash concrete if made from high calcium wood, but regular wood ash concrete is not waterproof, and is not very durable. I expect that the termite clay is effectively pre-screened, and would be comprised of extremely fine silt, but i can't imagine that those properties alone would be enough to make it impermeable and durable. How durable is it? is it completely impermeable? does it require mound soil from a particular type of termite? or mounds made in a particular type of soil? all I'm working on is informant i could infer from watching these videos, so any information at all would be helpful in directing my search. Cheers!
