RE: Keywest Puma: Since you have been in carpentry for so many years I recognize any applaud your experiences in overcoming all the crazy things the framers, drywallers and less not forget the architects and engineers throw at us. No joke, I am confident you know your stuff and I would love to pick your mind, I know you could teach me lots of things and conversely, I might be able to share a thing or two. I find Matt's lessons always extreamly informative. God I wish I had known that trick with the dividers 50 years ago while laying out stair wells for concrete construction. If you would invest $5 bucks a month with Patreon, I am sure you would find the kind of detail you are looking for. While I might laid out stairs a little differently, Math's lesson points out his method of building stairs, and made one point very clear was the relationship between run and rise and we all know that concept is fundamental before you can begin to start a lay out not only for stair lay out but every phase of construction. Look at what the Egyptians did while building the pyramids. Best wishes to all.

Thanks for watching and commenting Tod... I too built plenty of stairs before coming up with this design/method and found it's a great trick to have up your sleeve for certain applications. The fact you've got stairbuilding experience means it's only a matter of applying your current knowledge and skillset to a new method should the right project come along😎
