Build and test of a MONSTER 10" SuperG frame

Ойын-сауық

I've seen @Jordan Temkin's 10" version of the Project 399 Super G a number of times in person in the past, and he surprised me with a package of goodies with the frame to see about building one up for myself. He sent it out, and I can't describe how stoked I am with how well this bad boy flies!

I have a couple of older Naza-M v2 quads that I’d like to put a good newer FC on with iNav. I have just never put much trust in Naza flight controllers with all of the random flyaways you used to read about with them. As such I never really flew them as often as I would’ve otherwise. I still have a nice old TBS discovery frame I wouldn’t mind rebuilding with something like that.

Those shots with the Insta360 are awesome! I have the frame coming from DefianceRC and just ordered 4 BrotherHobby Tornado 3115 1050kv motors from BrotherHobby (even BH only had 3 of the 900kv left, so I figured that 1050kv isn't that much of a difference). I don't want to spend $100 for each individual ESC. What could I use in the 4-in-1 category ? Does anything exist?

So... I don’t want to push you or anything... But... 12S? 😅 I was amazed how good this flies. Footage is great! And sound of these props - I love it. This goes on “gifts for myself” list 😎

I was considering the 3115 900kv for a 10" camera drone but using 6s. Should I step up to the 1050kv or higher. Unit should be under 2000g

Paul, out of curiosity what firmware are you running on the APD escs? I'm following in a similar path and would like to know your BF setup for this beast, i.e esc motor protocol / RPM Filtering / Filter settings etc etc. Would make for a great video as I see these macro quads getting more and more popular. Thanks

I’m testing out a Shaper Origin for cutting frames out of Fusion 360. I hear it works really well.

Dude that Shaper origin looks sick 👍🏻, I got to check one out at my local wood working supply store and it is the future for custom wood working projects and also carbon cutting.
