Build an RV porch with me (Part 1)

Thanks for coming back everyone and welcome to a building episode of our trailer life! Today we will be using reclaimed wood from an unused/abandoned build and reusing it to make our small porch to help us out in the winter/muddy days to contain most of the craziness from coming into the trailer! I hope you enjoy!
Part 2 will be coming out soon!

Well done video. Efficient use of materials, low cost labor support, effective security and occasional oversight from supervisor. Outstanding DIY labor of love. 👏🏻

I know it's only been 9 months but have you had any rot or expansion issues running the boards tight to each other I've always loved the look of no gap but been told to never do that

I have not had any issues with expansion yet. But these boards were also already weathered from another porch that they were on so if anything they may have shrunk slightly through the summer. I also preferred them tight on this build because I built a roof and walls to enclose it during wet weather for extra storage. So gaps are good without a roof and no gaps are good when they are out of the weather. I prefer not to drop and lose something through the gaps anyways Lol. Thanks for asking, Chase!

The highest point is just under 30 inches. Then it tapers to a shorter height on the other side due to the uneven ground. Thanks for your comment!
