Build an Olympic bar, DIY barbell build, this is a short 5 foot bar
Homemade short barbell. I built a 5 foot straight bar. Workout equipment is pricey , with a little know how and some Creativity why not build some of our own. I have had good luck with my 7 foot Olympic bar so this is much the same just shorter and cheaper.

Some weights like rogue, have a smaller hole than the tube I used so make sure you check the hole size of the weights

@@pbpyro5546 hell ya bro. That’s a great sense of accomplishment. I would love to see it. I’m working on a squat rack to go with the one I built. I will post it if my work ever let me have a day off.

Wait so what's stopping the weights from sliding inwards?

Thanks for the comment. The exhaust pipe has a flared out side this keeps the weights from moving inward. I bought some Rogue weights and they do not fit this bar fyi.
