What a beautiful model! Although the breakup isn’t accurate, it’s almost the same as the James Cameron 1997 film breakup, which is what I believe you were going for. The tiniest little details were made to perfection here, and that’s dedication!

When the film was made there was no clarification on weather titanic had a 3 or 4 blade central propeller so it was based of its sister ships which had 4 blades. In 2007 documents were made public that titanic may have been fitted with a 3 blade. If this is the case then Titanic was most like going to be the test for the 3 blade configuration. But since titanic sank Olympic was fitted with a three blade for a short time before being switched back to a 4 blade propeller. When Britannic set sail it was also set up with a 4 bladed prop. It also states that the configuration of the blades was changed several times. So while plausible the only really evidence sits at the bottom of the Atlantic buried in the mud.

the detail is beyond words. this was definitely worth the time. extra credit for the 3 blade turbine prop

As much as the breakup is not historically accurate, for we still don’t know what it really looks like. We only take into account with the eyewitnesses on that day. Still pretty cool recreation of the 1995 James Cameron movie interpretation.

@@MiniaturesFX not sure at all because all photographs are b/w. I think to devide the propeller into red center and shiny steel propellers makes not really sense. whould be more realistic if whole propellers whould be unpainted.

Paint on the screws is accurate. It isn’t just “red”. They had anti fouling paint. Right where it’s shown on this model.
