@@forestissleepy snaxsquatch is in certain areas at night, until sunrise (so you can sleep until 5pm, midnight, or 5am and run into it). Flavor Falls, Garden Grove, Simmering Springs, Scorched Gorger, Sugarpine Woods, and Frosted Peaks. GG, SG, and FP are the easiest to scan since it appears close by the sleeping areas there. You can also scan it in the Undersnax, and it makes a cameo during the ghost stories event if you turn around while the other grumpuses are talking (but you can't scan it then, it's just there to be spooky)

For the snaxsquatcg you can either stumble upon it randomly, use the finale or farm encounters at scorched Gourge by constantly sleeping and looking towards the windmills with the camera (that’s how I did it)

Fun fact, this game was the replacement game for RT’s stream that day, as he originally planned to continue a Hitman file but couldn’t get the game to load

Technically, I'm pretty sure every tool was made by Snorpy. He could'a very well gave Filbo the Snaktrap and helped Gramble build the Buggy Ball. Cromdo obviously stole it, you can actually tell he did because you can see parts of what looks like the lunchpad in the cabin. Snorpy directly gives you the Snakgrappler and Tripshot. I'm not sure about the Sauce Slinger, it seems simple enough that Wambus could'a built it himself. But I'm not exactly sure.

i mean folks who do puppeteering are taught specifically to avoid that by wiggling their thumb instead of flapping the fingers of their hand, so you've probably watched many puppets intentionally avoid that kind of motion. it's rly fascinating how much thought went into this game

Also, Bugsnax are practically a metaphor for drugs, when you think about it. Chandlo thought they would make him stronger, Wiggle thought they could give her inspiration, Cromdo thought he could make money from them, Floofty thought they could use them for some extreme medical breakthroughs, etc. Bunger.

I can't believe a game about collecting food creatures ripped straight from _Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs_ is more story-rich, compelling and inclusive than most games released in the last few years.

As someone whose 100%’ed the game....it can kinda get....a lot? Like it’s obviously done with talent and joy but it’s every other sentence and sometimes makes sentences go on for way too long. I really love the idea of it just...moderation.

This is a game that completely changes the theme song once you know the ending. "Come to Snacktooth Island and discover, it's BugSnax!" Can't wait for the DLC latter this year

RT is the third streamer I’ve seen who, seemingly unprompted, turned Beffica into Pickle Beffica. I’m not saying it’s a conspiracy, I’m saying it’s a hilarious example of convergent evolution.

I don't know what it was about it, but Pickle Beffica got me laughing uncontrollably, and then you horribly twisting the other characters kept me from recovering for long enough to make my abdominals hurt. This game is a national treasure and deserves a sequel. I'm not sure how it would work, but I'm sure Young Horses can make it work.

It's been 14 minutes and I'm convinced this game is a masterpiece what the hell

This only happened because the Hitman “Human wine” save file gave up!

I feel like Eggabell Batternugget is such a well written character with deep complex emotions and traumas. Gramble Gigglefunny was so crushed when Wiggle Wigglebottom died to the orange peelbugs and crapples in the bad ending. I especially love Chandlo Funkbun and Snorpy's romance. also man i can't believe Snorpington Fizzlebean was right about the Grumpinati being real all along and that Clumby C. Clumbernut is a member of it. now if you'll excuse me i need to collect some sauce from the Ketchup and Chocolate Flowers in Wambus Troubleham's farm in Snaxburg so that i can hunt some bungers and scoopy banoopys."

At least it's a decidedly mild take. They have no issues using their food limbs, which magically still give them the ability to grip and retain the full strength and capabilities of their original limbs. Just imagine how much more horrifying it would be if it actually did convert their bodies into soft, fragile foodstuffs, leaving them crippled until the effect wore off (assuming it did).

Wiggle was eerily close early on to what the bugsnax really were, calling them “forbidden fruit” and even mentioning the queen of bugsnax

“It’s a kids game” but it somehow hits too close to home and uses passive aggressive language. If you ask me I think this is one of those happy-go-feel games that gets more grim the more you play.

I think it's just super high for the sake of exaggeration, because you'd be eating like a burger the size of your torso. And there's even more to the nutrition facts thing. Companies are allowed to use kilocalories so it sounds like you're eating less, but they have to use "Calories" specifically with a capital C. It's a marketing "trick."

Pickle Bethica being what's on screen right as the Nameless King notes begin to play is so fucking perfect

I love how excited the characters get after you turn their c&b's into a piece of popcorn against their will and for no reason. It also has some of the best writing I've ever seen in a videogame despite looking like a children's game, but it also aggressively has no chill whatsoever. None of these things should work together, and truthfully they don't, but I wouldn't change a thing. Bugsnax is a masterpiece.

When I first played the game I didn't do all the side quests and some of the characters literally melted and turned into big snax in front of me, one of the biggest wtf moments in gaming.

This game is basically Pokemon Snap and Ape Escape but turned into a horror game for young kids and teenagers alike, and I fricking love it! (Now, onto the Isle of Bugsnax!)
