Hi everyone, just a bit of clarification. The Bugatti was going into limp mode every time full power was applied, because of this the ECU would not allow launch control to be engaged.. there may have been a couple of issues but it was basically an airflow sensor that needed changing. When I tried my cunning plan i tried to slowly bring the throttle to full power but unfortunately It didn’t work. It’s a shame and wasn’t anyone’s fault. I’m sure we will get it back again and then show the full potential 👍👍

@larryjohns8823 Not that much. And in some cases, actually slower. Some of these older cars still hold the lap record at some circuits.

Really cool to see the F1 car winning them all. I cant imagine the distance it would pull away if you added corners. That 918 though.....just a beautiful masterpiece!

F1 cars are not even meant for drag races, what is the point of these videos? Straight line top speed is the biggest weakness of F1 cars.

The race we’ve all been waiting for. What about a P1 and La Ferrari to this. Edit. I believe it’s the holy trinity of all cars. Some bloke somewhere owns all 3. Think about it.

Did you watch the video ? Have you seen other videos ? He has contacts and this people support the test and channel. Red Bull F1 Car, Red Bull KTM MotoGP Bike, Dani Pedrosa as a Rider. So definitely the right connections to Red Bull Motorsports. The guy at the end, gave him the Veyron for the test, he seems to be a car dealer for exotic cars and he also says who gave him the 918 for this Video.

the mouth does a lot. Clean clothes. Quick talk. And what also helps a lot is being born at the right location, in the right family. It is not always a requirement, but most of the time money flows where money already is. Water always returns to the sea. I do not think someone who has a salary of 30k Euro/Pound/Dollar will ever get to do this. I do not think someone selling such expensive cars will even meet someone who earns 30k a year in person. You can try, but it is highly unlikely that such people want to ever be bothered with the lower class people. And so: if you were not born in the right place at the right time, then so be it. Accept it and get on with it. If you have some talent, you may reach a similar level. May take some time, but it is not impossible. But obviously it helps a lot if there is a huge stack of cash behind you backing up your nonsense. Heck, you do not actually believe Billy Gates started off broke, do you? Musk was not down the drain either. And so on.

Typically Bugatti launch problem If they turned off launch control and launch manually brake+boost method it would have launched better maybe a 10.1 seconds quarter mile

F1 car is quicker than a chiron no point Some people turned off launch control and launched car manually Divo ran 9.2 sec @156 mph quarter mile Veyron ran 10.1 @146 mph quarter Mile That's just brake+ boost method

That Porsche 918 is gorgeous. It doesn't shout it's performance unlike a lot of cars of this ilk.

It seems like the F1 car is so highly revving and sensitive to the condition of the surface it's driving on that you can hear the texture of the runway ribs and bumps as it drives along, a sort of tremolo effect! Really fascinating

a car with a defect is a defect car. It just did not really participate. I guess it would not have won but in this case it did not even try.

The Veyron design is aging beautifully, I always thought the later designs were an improvement, and they are for the time, but looking back at the original now and it’s a really special looking car. All of them will obviously always be desired collectibles but I think the original Veyron will be extremely valued by enthusiasts.

@carwow The breaking down of supercars is starting to become a regular thing on this channel and typically happens to the cars we want to see perform against the competition the most. Gonna have to start vetting and testing the performance of all involved vehicles before putting them on the drag strip!

0-100kph around 2,5 sec 0-200kph around 4,5 sec 1/4 mile around 8,5 sec As mentioned, it’s not that fast at the standing start sprint. Stopping power is way more impresive! Only lifting will cause a faster decelleration than a normal road going car in a max e-stop!
