Great to see you back and healthy. Good to see your no nonsense approach to things too, again. A real breath of fresh air. My Grandma always used to say: The bad times are there to show you the true meaning of the good times, helps us to not take them for granted and make the most of them. She also said when you get knocked down, you just got to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get on with it. Hope it's all good times for you, from here on in. Be well, Dave.

Several notes on this video. All the following is constructive ! 1. If anyone wants to know how to pack a bag that size, with that amount of gear…rewatch this video and learn.. pure masterclass. Kudos 2. I don’t think I saw one thing in there that did not have value in many ways. Great job! 3. This is a suggestion only. I vacuum seal with an oxygen absorber all my food, then pack in appropriate size round tins. The tins provide structural integrity, the vacuum seal keeps it dry and the addition of an absorber and vacuum sealing keeps items fresh longer.( I do change my foodstuffs out yearly) : note I keep dedicated bags for every member of my family. The vacuum sealed bags after you have used what’s inside can be used in many ways.( fresh bait you collect, tinder gathered along the way, ) 4. Overall great job! I’d take that bag and be perfectly happy to be dropped off just about anywhere!

Great to see you back stix , And even better news your back on the road to recovery mate 👍 Great little emergency kit as are all your kits. Look forwards to seeing your future vids. But in your own time fella. Main thing is your health first. As a footnote, I'm old skool brought up on tobacco tin style lofty survival kit, carried all thru my time in the military 🪖 now I prefer pouch set ups like yourself, but I'd be interested on your thoughts ( if any ? As I'm sure you come from a similar background as myself ) what you'd carry in a modern take of the trusty rusty survival tin. Once again Great to see you back mate. ATB 👍

Thanks Rob its been a slog but one well worth fighting for. I now truly know what Survival means :) I love the idea of having that kind of kit in my pocket all the time. If you have a look back at my stuff there is some really small kits I've made over the years. Happy to do another one if that's for you. The video quality was not that great before which put me off for a while but yes definitely my thing, in fact that book was what triggered my passion for the outdoors. Yeah used to watch your early videos on my desk top so picture quality was bang on then but technology moves on all the time so I can understand what you mean. ( Blame your Del computer 👍) Anyway back to survival tin concept, would love to see your take on the baccy tin and contents ? Might be able to start a discussion group on old contents compared to modern items I think that'd be an interesting discussion . But as I said before in your own time fella. @@STIXSURVIVAL my pleasure mate, and I'll have a scratch of the old noggin and see if I can think up any good ideas 💡. Tbh think your kit load outs are some of the best set ups on here. Unlike some so called 72 hour kits with 3 tins of baked beans, an s10 resi mask, Rambo knife, circus tent and ninja outfit 🤦‍♂️ ( OK might of exaggerated the ninja outfit, but you get the idea lol ) your kits contain no nonsense hard use practical kit. Tried n tested. So I'd like to see more of those please definitely. 👍 How about a " what 5 bits of kit " would you take sort of get out of dodge double lively scenario 🤔 that's always a toughie lol. But I'll have a think see if I can come up with anything else. Ooh one thing I'd love to see the rest of the installments of your ultimate bug out bag set up, you were working on before you got ill ( airborne bergen set up I recall ? ) But I think that's enough things to think about for now.
