Decisive, confident shooting and despite all his experience Franz still shows the respect and emotion of the moment. No hollering or yer-haa’s - A credit to the sport, and the animal.

TOTALLY AGREE with you there !!!....Good to see !!
Franz has a life time of shooting experience, and is a top marksman with years of experience. He’s a pleasure to watch.
After shooting a buffalo in the Selous I noticed a lump under the skin well behind where I had shot. Cutting the "lump" I discovered a .375 300 gr A-frame, perfectly expanded. This poor buffalo had obviously been shot in the past too far back. He had healed completely.

I wonder how that really tiny guy can handle kick of 470. I have seen bigger people whine about kicks from lower caliber 30 30 lever action rifles. I wonder if thicker rubber end absorbs blows with these rifles I have heard it does abosrb the kick back
Exciting hunt what an experience, but I was cringing watching the muzzle discipline. Carrying a loaded rifle on your shoulder by the barrel seems like a great idea.

Some of those rifles have a de-cocker, cartridges in the chamber's and action closed but de-cocked. It's not the safety, the gun cannot fire. Push the button up and you are locked and loaded. Franz Albert is pretty experienced, he wouldn't do silly stuff like that.

Keep in mind that yes muzzle discipline is important but more than that is trigger control. You can point the loaded gun in any direction safely if your finger is not on the trigger. Loaded guns don’t just shoot by themselves like Alec Baldwin claims, you have to pull the trigger for the gun to fire.

@@marklumley619if the spring is loaded any bump or shock to the gun could cause the shot to fire.

Ich habe schon viele Videos von Franz Albrtcht gesehen, wo er Wildschweine in Europa professionell erlegt. Wenn er aber nach Afrika fliegt, um einen Büffel zu erlegen, dann ist das pervers!
All these European’s can shoot definitely but I’ve never seen any of them actually hunt, still hunt by themselves without a guide & be successful. It’s a different sport for them than it is for us in the USA. Idk if they could just go hunt any big or small game because I don’t think there’s any public land available to the public to hunt. All public land in Europe like that is strictly no hunting & no firearms plus all the truly wild game is gone, all private property high fence hunts. Just different but not really hunting, just shooting on a continental hunt

that is not very true at all, i am from finland and we have way less restriction on hunting then u guys, and we hunt alot by ourselves, especially roe deer and fox. however driven hunt on moose is a big thing here. we also have something called every "mans right" wich means we can pick mushrooms and berries enywhere we like we can also camp anywhere we like. but for example the UK, and france, belgium is alot stricter. and what do u mean with actuallt hunt?? like the ppl waay back were hunting in very big groups. hunting has always in the past being a few guys going out in the woods and killing it as a team.

You are ignorant. You never, never hunt in africa without a professionnal guide ! Forbiden and dangerous. You will anderstand if you try to follow and shoot a cafer Buffalo after 3 days walking, without a véhicule . By the way In Europe we hunt without guide in huge land without public . And we own All firearms we need , exept we dont sell ar15 or m16 to avoid mass killing in a school. .

@@titikalagan3024 totally agree. I live in Northern Australia, and if someone from overseas would come and do a DIY hunt for Asian Buffalo in the bush they would be mad. Get heat exhaustion and die in there 😸😸

Greetings from Germany. Here every piece of land, which is not „pacified“ (German „befriedet“) is subject to the game law, no matter if it’s public land or privately owned. „Pacified“ regions are village/city boundaries, other places which are mainly built for the purposes of daily living and cemeteries. Every other acre of land is subject to the game law, where hunting HAS to take place. The right to hunt is legally upon the owner of the land, if the district is at least 70 hectares big. If smaller, the owners of the surrounding districts up to at least 150hectares automatically form a so called “hunting association”. We usually hunt by ourselves, without any guides. There are only a few Professional hunters/guides in Germany. So please, Sir, get your facts straight first.

Have you ever done an "unguided" hunt in Africa 🤣 I have hunted all over the UK and I can tell you. Those boys over there can hold their own
