Non budget related, but very interesting you've lived in the UK 20 yrs and not one hint of an accent (to my American ear), just using some different terminology... I lived in the Midwest for 2 years and you would've thought I lived there my whole life with the accent I picked up😂 I've lost most of it now being back on the west coast for 20 years, but I still get asked occasionally where I'm from which I have to break their hearts and say "uhhh here in the PNW"😂 (anyways enough with my rambling)

Very well done! Don't worry about it being to long. I didn't tbink it was. It is a tutorial video. I thought that your presentation was organizer, concise and very informative! Ty! ❤

Thanks for re-uploading the full video. I use an excel spreadsheet only as things change so much during the month. I also find it great for copying and pasting when starting a new month as everything is usually the same to begin with apart from the Misc expenses which I allocate €400 to. Here in Ireland we pay for all dental treatments and doctors but hospitals stays are free.

I have really enjoyed the excel spreadsheet version now I have been using. Not sure I will go back to paper and pen! I also don't have to do all the math.

Great video! My favourite of yours 😊 I know it's a budget video but I feel I got to know you a little bit better in general. If you can, you should do more vids like this, just chatting with us. Would be nice to "get to know you" a bit more 😊 More on topic, my husband and I also have separate accounts and each pays the bills we agree. I like the independence of it too. We do have a joint account that we never even use.

Hello, first time with you… I’m across the pond…United States. I enjoyed watching you… curious as to why your husbands wage is not included in budgeting? What is help to buy? Tv license? Car tax? I was wondering why the mortgage is only $119? If these questions are too invasive to answer no problem.. just trying to understand the difference in the areas.❤

Hi. Thank you for watching. Happy to answer as much as I can. My husband and I just decide to do our budget this way. More of me just liking to be financially independent. Though we do split all bills. Help to Buy is a government scheme to help people purchase their first homes, a loan in theory that you do not have to start paying back for 5 years. TV licence is a fee to pay the general channels on tv I guess kind of like cable? Car tax is like your car tags in USA, but can pay it monthly or yearly. I kind of explain in my video that I have it listed as mortgage but it is money that I send to my husband. After we split all bills and add up what comes out of each of our accounts that is how much of my half I owe him. Hope that makes sense. 😃

I'm old style. We pool money. All that 50/50 , living like room mates, when people rarely earn the same and have children, makes no sense to me.
