I personally do not find the per serving costs to be helpful by themselves. I'd be a happy lad if you could, in addition to the per serving cost, include how much do the ingredients cost to make one video, and maybe what's left over after doing all these recipes. I may be asking for a lot, but I've rarely seen anyone does this. Delicious-looking meals regardless!

I agree with you. It’s so much more helpful for me because bloggers will say that an ingredient only costs a half a dollar for a recipe....but then the whole bottle costs like ten dollars.

thanks for the suggestion! I've done videos where I make meal preps for $20 where I basically buy all the ingredients with the $20 and make a week's worth of food~ I've also done videos where I made dinner for 4 for $20 or something like that - I can definitely do something similar again~ I think it can be a little tricky because many ingredients that one would need for recipes - one might already have in the kitchen already :)

@@CheapLazyVegan maybe add the shopping list downstairs, leaving out the salt, pepper etc, 'cause you can buy those in the dollar store, just what you bought for the recipe.

I prepare burritos often, and a little salsa addition is actually great to keep it from drying out while in the freezer. Also! You can freeze multiple in a large ziploc rather than individually wrapping them with foil. I re-use the ziploc bag too for extra environmental friendliness. :)

Also if you leave some green parts, the roots and bulb of green onions you can put them in a cup of water and they’ll quickly regrow! You really don’t have to keep buying them over and over 💜

I subbed around 4 years ago when I was still a student because of this type of videos! These are my favourites! Thank you!
homemade salsa is amazing and cheap too! here’s my recipe: two cans Rotel one can of stewed tomatoes half white onion jalapeño or serrano (seeded if you don’t like spice) few cloves of fresh garlic Cilantro to taste salt to taste Blend (or finely chop everything!) refrigerate for at least an hour. literally so good and easy to customize to your taste :)
that soup, with a ton of basil paste added in OMG so fucking good my whole family was eating it lol
You could use paper wraps rather than aluminum foil:) better for the environment♡

All of these look so satisfying! 3 of my favorite types of meals! Thank you for this! 🤤 you da best!
Thank you so much sharing!! I made a vegetarian chowder version yesterday, so delicious! Love your videos!
The chowder looks amazing! And fall is coming! So I need chilly weather recipes! 🍂🍂🍂🍂
You can blend potatoes and soup liquid to make the chowder more chowder-y
Thanks so much for this video! I am on a tight budget. I have been making a running list of affordable recipes. I am going to add the burrito recipe to my list! Mmmmmmm! Thanks again!
Great, easy-looking ideas for lunch/dins! Thanks, Rose!
I just subscribed. I'm always looking for easy meals. Thank you for sharing and I will definitely be trying your recipes. Have a great week. :)
Thank you for sharing your budget meals as I try tO make more plant base meals since I'm in a tight budget. Looks delicious
Thanks for your recipes! They are so simple and yet kind of gourmet.
I am sooooo excited about these! I love chowders and my husband will love the burrito!
Thank you for sharing this budget friendly recipe. Budgeting better with my groceries has been heavy on my mind with all the rising prices. This kind of video is so helpful for me and I am sure many others right now. I try to budget best I can but I know I can always learn more. I make cooking videos too so you know I’m making lots of food so every penny I can save on groceries counts. I hope that we can continue to learn from each other. Never stop learning and growing!
This channel is great 😊 just found it and I've been vegan for 4yrs but struggle with recipes and money sometimes so chuffed to see all this..yeah!!👍👍
Hi Rose! Love the channel... not Vegan (yet!) but learning to eat more veggies! I would love to see a PRINTABLE grocery haul with a meal plan... breakfasts, lunches (leftovers) and dinners for 4-5 days, 1 person. It would be so helpful to have a go to list while I'm learning! Thanks for reading!
The burrito looks amazing! I'm drooling just watching them!!
Love this idea! I am gonna have to try some of these, burrito and chowder for sure, great for work to ;)
Wonderful ideas my dear, I have been looking for some good vegan meals and so affordable! Blessings and FULL WATCH! 🙏💖
Yay cheap, easy vegan recipes! :D I haven't had chowder in so long--I'll probably try that soon. Thanks, Rose!

Ah yes even more fantastic eats thanks Rose 🌷 Cheers & happy trails 🌈
i always get super inspired by your videos ❤️
Very good ideas, thank you for posting this.
Great meals! Love it! My only critique is the price points are wildly understated. I also live in Canada so I think It would be helpful to tell us where you’re buying cans of corn and bell peppers for that price?
I like the stir fry ramen idea. I normally have ramen on hand and would love different ways to prepare it. I would probably use beans instead of tofu, since I usually also have some canned black beans available as well. And if not canned I have some dried that I can use the leftovers of if I had some already prepared.
Thank you, very helpful
Looks so delicious and thank you for this!

I just made this soup recipe for lunch and it was delicious. I also added some turmeric because I like it to be yellow coloured. I am not sure what you would think of this as Korean but I added some Kimchi to the top along with some fresh herbs.
Love these recipes !

one of my rescue dogs has ptsd from a previous life smoke detector incident and those bell dings of yours triggered him something shocking Rose! he looked horrified at the first one, then the next few came in such quick succession, i didnt hit the volume quick enough! Poor bubba freaked out and raced down the hall into the bedroom and under the bed. had to lay under there with him singing his favourite song to him for half an hour till he would come back out. i ended up watching your whole video on mute Rose. so sadly, i missed out on your usual hundred "okay"s. and theyre my favourite bit. wahhhhhh

Rose you save my life!!!!!!! I'm here to watch this video while cooking for the 10th time 😸💞🤘
The poor mans chowder is my favorite!! I love it! I cook the onions and mushroom first. Then I add some (not a lot)water and add the corn and carrots! I let it sit then add the milk (one cup and little more) and the flour (I used coconut)! After I added the chickpeas and potatoes and let it sit. (I used garlic powder, thyme and salt) I didnt use the vegetable stock because I like cooking the old fashion way for some reason:)
I got kimchi to try for the first time today. Haven't given it a go yet. Also made a veggie lentil soup 🤤 it's almost lunch time!
I’m new to vegan & don’t like spending too much time in the kitchen. You’re my Favorite ❤️

I love the budget-friendly recipes. Not just because they are cheap, but also they tend to be pretty easy.
And if the veggies come from your own (or a good friend's) garden, even Cheaper!!!

I suppose it depends on where you live because I don't know anywhere here in Los Angeles where I could find a .09 carrot or a .25 can of chick peas... (about .25 and $1.. at best, respectively) Not saying these recipes aren't cheap, just saying.... it's expensive in LA I guess.

I was thinking the same. Here in Washington. Red, orange and yellow bell peppers go for $1.50ea and every once in awhile $1.

@Jennifer S Naw, you’re right. In Connecticut a can of beans is $1. I’d say for all those prices multiply by 4. At least. Because those were Canadian dollars too! There’s no way!!
that chowder looks friggin awesome
Chowder defined- A rich soup typicaly containing fish, clams, or CORN, along with onions & potatos. Just loved these! BTW reheat that foil wraped burro in a dry covered fry pan or toaster oven for about 5 minutes per side & it'll be worth the wait, just poke a few holes to let steam escape. Can you make Chana Wat? Please & Thank You.

Thank u so much for this😭 im on that college student diet which is.. unspeakable lmao. Will be trying all these recipes!!
Awesome meals
Finally a video I can relate. Got tired of watching the online buying videos because not everyone can do that.
ive literally been making these burritos every week im addicted
I wish I could buy a can of beans for $0.25 and an onion for $0.30 and a bell pepper for $0.28. An onion cost me over $2, and a pepper (if not on sale) is over $3. A can of beans is definitely over $1, sometimes almost $2. I am out east and I didn’t realize food was so inexpensive in Calgary.
@haleyshepherd2789

It was $0.25 per serving, and there were 4 servings so it was $1 for a can of beans, $1.20 for an onion, $1.12 for a pepper. Still slightly cheaper than what you have available but not as drastic.

Hi! I like to know what store you bought these ingredients so I can get these wonderful cheap products.
I am so glad you have this channel! My son wants to be vegan but I really can't afford it so he agreed to do vegetarian. Your channel helps me do vegan! Thank you!
This is an excellent video. I’ve been vegan for more than 20 years and am always frustrated with people using cost as a reason to not go vegan. I live in Hawaii so all your prices are a lot more here, 4-5 times ! (A can of beans, on sale is $1.00 ) although I do have avocado and fruit trees in my yard 😁. Your meals are great for beginners and someone with kids. Thanks for putting this information out there ❤️🌺

Avocado tree in the yard😍
I like the word chowder too. ☺️
Maybe you could do a video where you tell about some of the basic items a person should get in their kitchen that they will use in a lot of recipes such as tahini, soy sauce, honey... And those other kind of ingredients that cost a bit of money. I've heard you mention several things in recipes and I am not familiar with these things. You could show the item until what all it's used for. You probably have plenty of items in your own kitchen that you could use in the video.
These look delicious and I will definitely try them! However, I can’t stand the dinging sounds when you show the cost of each ingredient. Thank you so much for posting this
