only an opinion- for those wanting to buy the van-- most van dwellers arent inside except to sleep or do computer work-- which is laying down and sitting- i lived in astro for 7 years with two german shephards- they could stand!!! and if i had to stay inside because of rain laying down watching a video or reading a book is actually nice. plus-- you slow down, you in no rush- things are diffrent, 4 day trips is not the same as being out months at a time. moving once a week or hopefully once every two weeks is the goal of most, to keep fuel costs and mileage down

Kinda funny, the original video got 3 million views - the "things I regret" video 2.8k Lol - Most people never take the time. Great build my friend, and thank you for sharing. I built out a 93 E150 very similar - without a sink 😏

My mom and ole man used to love going to the stock car races. I can't even remember how many vans he pimped out for sleeping at the tracks. He had the turtle tops and would build a beautiful bed by hand and mom made sure they had a porta pot. Other than that they were pretty simple just like you suggested. Great video and going to do a winter build myself this year. Good luck and God Bless your family.

We have a Class C and I still prefer doing dishes etc outside. Its good to keep us out of the weather and sleep. The rest of our time is spent outside. You did a nice job!!

100% agree on your comments and what you need for a 4 day trip... bed and storage ... lights adn may be heater... is really all you need... question... how large was the bed ? you did not talk about it so it feels like you had the right size bed in there...Seems like a full queen size is an overkill... (that's what I have in mine so far)

It was a custom size, length was the width of the van (I'm 6'1" and had to lay a little diagonally to really lay out). It was a custom width too, I want to say about 5' wide. We both laid down in the back and made the measurement based on that.

Sad to see it go, but sounds like it’s what’s best for you guys! Where could I get more details about the van as I am a potential buyer. Thanks

This is what we did. We chose a Class C. Its a bit dated but does the job. Brutal on gas but still cheaper than motels and eating out. We just pull my little car.
