Sometimes one thing leads to another, in this case a sponsor leads to a new room entirely! On a budget of course.

I don’t have much patience with watching films. I can barely stand watching a series but I’m nerdy enough to really appreciate watching the ins and outs of building a cinema room.
Nice and different vid this time, my fellow Mii electric owner. For the money you're talking about, ex the Valencia seats, you've done well. I'd always go for a large eg OLED panel but agree you don't get the same size of screen you have. You do get pinsharp 4k quality though. Same for a 'proper' projector screen too. Interested to see how it all performs over time and just to confirm we've just had our £50 Octopus credit so you should get yours shortly too. Now if they could only read our smart meters.......😁
What a great result
Cracking job EVM
Have a link to the screen paint i have just a white matt wall and projects spot on thinking psinting with screen paint

Not screen paint. Just Dulux ‘warm pewter’.
That looks absolutely awesome to me. I’m very impressed with everything other than your favorite film.
Is there going to be a how you did it manscaping video?
You're giving me the idea to make a cinema room now. Shame it's not realistic in my current house
Aliens is one of my fav films of all time, lost count of how many times I have seen it. Cinema room looks great. I used to have a dedicated room but we moved so now a compromise in the lounge with elec screen.
Great setup
What about Apocalypse Now or Good morning Vietnam
Hi. I built a dedicated cinema room a couple of years ago. I must be honest, not on a similar budget to you. The room has 6 seats similer to yours, 13 speakers, a 4m wide screen, full blacked out room etc. if you are ever in the Manchester area feel free to drop me a line if you want to experience full atmos. Alos have the solar stuff, 2 PW’s 2 SolarEdge inverters, 19kw of panels etc, electric car… no heat pump :)
You did a great job man ! You can be proud of it !! Love it 🎉🎉
I've just started using small under desk infrared panels for my home office. They are excellent and mean there is no need to heat the rest of the house. For your cinema I'd say ceiling mounted infrared could be a good option and a lot cheaper than extending your central heating into the room. But i guess it depends on the level of use. If you are in there every day then why not insulate it well and extend the heating, if once in a while then just use infrared or even the convection heater you have.
Loved the video, Stay Frosty!
My Living room has projector, pull down screen , black out blinds and 3 seater sofa with electric reclineable seats. Then with a 7.1 Atmos sound system using Q Acoustics 1010i. Anything that gives big screen and can be turned up loud is amazing. Looks like you have everything sorted and maybe infra red panels could work. Best film is Terminator 2 IMO!!!
I put a telly in the corner of the room, works fine
Great job but Aliens isn't even the best Alien film 😂
The screen I use is home made from blackout cloth, it works great, had it about 7 years no problems at all, blacks are good but could be better if like you, I painted my walls/ceiling a darker colour.
Your own private Odeon, what a good set up 👍
really nice setup, thanks for sharing. Q: why did you go with light grey paint for the screen area and not just bright white?
@ElectricVehicleMan

It was explained at the masking tape bit. Black and grey paint.
I did the same last year, 150” screen, Epson 4K project, VonHaus roll down screen all for under £1500. Did the audio on the cheap with a soundbar with sub, Bluetooth audio from a firestick to it so no wiring (will go surround at some point) Ask Valencia if they’ll sponsor my room, I’ll hang a neon Valencia logo out front of the house and tattoo the logo on my arse like you did if it helps 😉
electric video man
I’ll be honest - I’ve watched this to give you a view as a thank you for all the other videos! Looks good mind. Glad you are getting some freebies for all your hard work on the channel - and differentiating yourself.
A Great job Andy. Next week EVM puts in a new kitchen.
I agree Alien II rocks, The Abyss on distant second place. Love your Cinema Studio !
Nearly perfect. You need the Pearl & Dean intro thing when you power it on. 😁
😆 great DIY
Had projectors since about 1990 starting with a "saved from skip" three tube CRT, replaced with XGA Sony LCD when HD started. Started projecting on wall but moved to temporary screen. Swapped to big panel 65" 4k smart TV instead a few years ago. Works better for gaming, no fan noise, less setup, watchable with curtains open and made sense with no dedicated room. Never had a subwoofer because I bought all my home cinema stuff when I was living in a flat, I just bought decent main speakers. Plex way better than running DVDs or Blue ray (or VHS back in the day). Ironically because you can bypass all the copyright warnings - they were a bit counterproductive. Aliens maybe makes it into my top ten. 😁
I do not know how you balance a job, a you tube channel, family time and projects like this in your limited time.
Great inspiration on the budget build! I fancy something a little different - how to adapt our sitting room into a film-friendly set up. Probably some sort of projector and descending screen. As for the "best of all time" - Restless Natives, followed by Princess Bride. Alien is certainly in the mix for shortlist.
Great budget cinema room, I've got one in the attic bedroom with 4k projector Dolby Atmos amp and speakers. Also have a Peugeot 2008 EV. Your chairs though are mint I think I will invest in some. Keep up the good work. PS Alien is one of the best films ever made.
Alien was the first film I went to with my partner of now over 40 years! We had both been students in Manchester and met in our first jobs after Uni. We went to see Alien at a cinema in Oxford Road, and she only lasted to the I in ALIEN coming up on the screen before she asked if we could leave! She was so spooked out by the introduction! I managed to calm her down, and we really enjoyed the film 😀
Good job. That's a cheap home cinema! For better bass, start looking for a second sub like the one you have, and DSPeaker Anti-Mode. They can be found quite cheaply second hand and really helps controlling standing bass waves. The second sub should not be placed close to the first one, but rather in the other end of the room, preferably filling a "null" from the sound of the first sub.
Great video please continue with ‘off the peg’ videos
So jealous my friend. Back in my the day I’d only ever have Yamaha Home Cinema amps
Paint the table black all good
Nice room. I guess you need some non reflective surfaces on the table and the box under the screen.
Never had the space for a cinema room AND a garage workshop. Workshop won I'm afraid. Maybe in the next house.... (BTW, my fave film is Hot Fuzz but I respect your choice as it's my #2)
Great. All you need now is the missus offering choc ices and lollies during the intermission. 😂
Best movie of all times is Phantoms. Ben Affleck was the bomb in Phantoms. It is written!

You will find that a large screen TV works better.

@@ElectricVehicleMan move it closer my 60" set replaced my 100" projector. 100" projector bulb is $700 to replace, great while it lasted but my free TV i used flight mile points is 3D and better. No screen no fan noise no need for 4 remotes etc...
@arenjay3278

You can buy better resolution 85" sets now for less than a Projector and you don't have to turn the lights off to watch.
@ElectricVehicleMan

A £50 projector and bulbs are maybe £100. 85” screen would be well into 4 figures!

@arenjay Have to disagree, a good projector is far better than a tv, it's a lot more immersive, I have both and my projector is 3D which is great with the right film. I have a 109" screen but could go bigger if needed, you can't do that with a tv.
There is one film better than Aliens I'm not afraid to say and it's Aliens the Directors Cut 😂
Put a wedge between the outer seats and inner. Otherwise you're twisting to look at the screen.

Yes most likely a wood or metal frame bolted to each other. Adding a new wooden wedge and bolting it to each side. Just takes a saw drill and maybe a hammer although only if you don't measure first. Typical thing we did in woodshop class in Canada but without the band saw and lathe. You don't have to make a fruit bowl .

The gap is filled by the wedge to the height of the seat.
Cool😅
I would not say no to those seats for free either! As it is i will continue slumming it on my £30 sofa until vts sponsor me too. 😂
Hello mate
Yes Aliens is the best film ever, get yourself a SECOND hand 😂 footpod for the treadmill as Zwift running is free 🏃♂️
Barbie wins hands down. Now I’m off to play with my crayons again as they won’t let me have anything sharp in here

No, seriously ......you're DEAD right ... .... it's an ALL-TIME classic......!!!
Don't forget the coughing and sneezing on the back of your head simulator, for added realism.
Impressive setup, to much information is repeated
Awesome video, kind of makes me want to start something similar, but the missus would definitely not go for it, and I have no kids yet. One thing, Terminator 2 is the best movie of all times, though Aliens is right up there as well :D
Just needs an illuminated fire exit sign
The best film ever is 12 Angry Men (1957), but Aliens is probably the second best. 😁
Never received the first video , when was the first video

Get rid of the treadmill and put a beer fridge in its place!!😅
Aliens it's awesome, but not better than the original Alien, sorry you are wrong
0m25s. When did you lose your left leg! Hope it grows back. And yeah. Aliens is awesome. But T2 is a bit better imho
Nice to get off topic have a break from the EV controversies .

Nice - definitely not showing the wife those chairs. Decent film as well 😁
The good, the bad and the ugly is no 1 I’m afraid. There can be no reasonable argument otherwise.
Yeah .....if you Muppets want a proper classy, cultured film .... ....A Room With A View(the version with Helena Bonham Carter....) .....not that I don't enjoy monsters in space, Sci-Fi type stuff.....but, y'know....!! (I did actually see 'Alien' on it's original cinema release....in 1979....so I DO know what I'm talking about ...!!!) (AND, I've read the actual book....y'know, paper..with printing on it..where you have to actually turn the pages....SO last to century....) BTW, EVM..... YOU'RE wrong.....!!!
