I have the Timberline original from which the saw chain sharpener was copied. It works great for 5 or. 6 touchups to a chain. After that, it seems to be better to get it resharpened by someone with a grinder. Don’t forget to adjust/file your depth gauges every few times you sharpen. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I am usually loathe to ordering some stuff online. I have tried some of these things to split firewood that weren't successful. I got a splitting axe from Home Depot and had to return it because I found I it too heavy. I think, however, that a guy would not have a problem. I did rent a wood splitter a few years ago. It was fun. 🙂👍👍🇨🇦

We love our big wood splitter. It was a very worthy investment. Using an ax isn’t happening for us either, don’t want shoulder surgery again! Lol

I’ve purchased a few items from Temu and they do have good prices. FYI, new KZread rules state that when you receive a free product for review, you have to click on the “includes paid promotion” or you can end up with a violation.

Nice work guys... But I must say I'm glad we don't use wood for heat. Seems very labor intensive. On a side note we got appraised for our asking price on our home in town but closing was very painful for us on our equity. We closed on Friday and now we are Mortgage free and pick up our equity check Tuesday. No electric bill no water, sewer bill and no taxes on the old house. Most of all no repairs or remodeling of a home we are getting rid of. Now we are going to prioritize our future projects for our new paid for home. We are not going to know how to act LOL. Note we have used Temu for many thing in the past. We just this weekend for their Presidents day sale got a bunch of pocket t-shirts for me seems I ruin them very fast.

Congratulations! One new project at a time and you’ll probably finish before us😊 and Rich goes through t shirts so fast too! We’ll have to check them out!

@@CreatingASimplerLifeOffGrid Well you have to really define finish. I don't see an end I see an evolution of completions of dream and desires. We still have many projects that we hope to accomplish but alas we doubt we will at this point be able to accomplish them all. One dream my wife has is to incorporate animals into our homestead but that will likely never happen. I want a work shop with a lift but I don't see that as a possibility at this time. If you mean having a working kitchen and plumbing yes I suspect that could be called finished. For now though finding our stuff that we can't find at the moment in our plethora of totes seems would be a lofty goal. We feel much of the pressure gone with the home in town sold but it is yet another door to a huge room we have opened. For now we are filled with possibilities and dreams we think we can achieve. That's good enough for us for now.

@@keppypaul very true! Owning a home means you are never finished :-) We have dreams of animals someday as well, but one day at a time right now because money runs out fast! Not giving up the dreams either though!

Thanks for the video. I hope your build is still going well. Since so many of our American companies sold out to China, we have to expect that companies like Temu and Vevor will begin to appear. We buy a lot of stuff From Walmart, so what's the difference? It's kind of hypocritical to shun Chinese companies because they are on-line, and then shop at Walmart or Harbor Freight methinks... It's always best to support American made products first, if you can find them and if you can afford them. Choose your poison.

It’s so true…. We really try to buy American but it’s harder and harder to find anything made here and there aren’t any American companies reaching out or willing to collaborate with us either.
