Budget cuts for kids school lunches while giving illegals pre paid cards. What about budget cuts for all these illegals? It is not as if they are working or anyway contributing to the economy. How many have actually been approved for asylum or even applied for work permits?

@Slasherd888 Wrong, in the USA there is no budget cuts to military/security spending and it’s not negotiable which means that budget cut have to come from Social Security, welfare, school system, and anything that’s not in the private sector so it’s really not a choice of what you could vote for. the majority of inflation and debt comes from the private sector, which is a unnegotiable.

It really is and it is here in MN too. At my kids old school the kids would try to steal his packed lunch regularly so he would try to save most of it to the end of the day and immediately start eating when I picked him up from school. Tears in his eyes, so hungry and overwhelmed. Does the school care...nope does the school do anything about the kids in the bathrooms harassing either...nope. I

Well the tax paying citizens demand education,food and shelter too.

For all those people crying about "oh at least kids over there gets a snack" NYC has always had free lunch since 1990s and probably even before that. Unlike the countryside and boonies where you pay a small fee or bring your own lunch.

This reminds me of a funny story. My buddy was an Army recruiter. One day he sets up a table at a High School cafeteria in Chicago. In order to try and connect with the students he purchases his lunch from the cafeteria. Not sure what he ate. The next day he gets food poisoning, he told me it was coming out both ends and he was laid up for two days. Never again he says.

American School lunches are a joke. It's like half of a Costco hotdog, a banana, some slices of cheap American cheese, and a small box of chocolate milk. In total it probably cost them in bulk prices just $2-3 dollars per meal. But these migrants aka illegal immigrants get stacked burgers, pastas, and other hotel room service meals packaged for them for free?!?! Make that makes sense

I live in MN and they are sooo high and mighty about what they are doing for lunches. The lunches are garbage, and not only that they get maybe 15 min to sit down and dump the slop down. Some kids are bullied so much they can't even eat during that tiny amount of time give to eat. Can't learn because of either not enough time to eat the slop or sick to their stomach because of what the slop is. Sad so so sad, starving by the end of the day. OH and they aren't learning!!!!! I wonder why!!!!!!!

Hopefully they will allow the Migrant Children eat first so if the run out of free school lunches, free breakfasts, and the free snack all of the newcomers children will not suffer and will still be well fed each day.
